ALEKSANDRA RISTIĆ

ALEKSANDRA RISTIĆ, MA (1970), mezzo-soprano, graduated and obtained her MA degree at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, in the class of prof. Irina Ariskin. She is a winner of many awards at republic and federal competitions of the young opera artists. She has presented herself with the solo recitals to the audience throughout Serbia, Montenegro, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary. She performed several times with the Symphony Orchestra of Serbian Army Stanislav Binički from Belgrade, Niš Symphony Orchestra, the String Orchestra St.George, the Orchestra Constantinus, the Symphony Orchestra of the Faculty of Arts in Niš; she has also realized numerous performances with the string quartets, Niš Wind Quintet and the sextet Libero from Belgrade. She participated in the ethno project – Balkan 2000 – of a composer Aleksandar Sanja Ilić, with whom she has successfully cooperated for years. Her remarkable performance was at The Days of Serbian culture in Bern, Switzerland, where she was declared the best representative of Serbian culture. She has realized the role of Santuca in Mascagini,s opera Cavalleria Rusticana, she was also in the role of the mother in S. Binički’s opera In the dawning, taking part in the celebration of the composer,s anniversary in his birthplace Jasika, near Kruševac, in 2004. She has recorded the arias for the theatre plays at the National Theatre in Belgrade, as well as the Puppet Theatre and the National Theatre in Niš. She has made recordings for Radio Television Serbia, Radio Belgrade 202, Radio Novi Sad and Radio Niš. Since 2003, she has been a member of the Trio Anima, which has gained a great success in the country and abroad for a short period of time. She is the Associate Professor and the Chairman of Department of Solo-Singing. Since 2010, she has worked as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Arts in Kosovska Mitrovica and the Music Academy in Sarajevo.
