Petar Pavlović, a fourth-year student of undergraduate academic studies in the class of DA Stevan Spalević, Assoc. Prof, won I prize (97 points) in F category at 30^th International Competition of Young Pianists, which was held from 22^nd to 26^th April 2026 in Šabac.

The Chamber Duo “Ad Libitum”, consisting of Iva Vicentijević and Strahinja Marković, fourth-year students in the class of Assoc. Prof. Ingrid Janković, won I place with a maximum of 100 points in the category – Piano Duo at the International Competition “Trebinje Classic 2026”. Their talent, dedication and joint work were recognized and awarded by eminent pianists, members of the jury: Yurii Kot (Ukraine), Iryna Aleksiychuk (Ukraine), Gabor Nagy (Norway/Hungary) and Lidija Stanković (Serbia).

Elizabeta Marinković, a fourth-year student of undergraduate academic studies in the class of DA Stevan Spalević, Assoc. Prof, won III prize (75.75 points) in F category at 30^th International Competition for Young Pianists, which was held from 22^nd to 26^th April 2026 in Šabac.

At the recently concluded VIII International Accordion Competition in Mons (Belgium), a fourth-year UAS accordion student Veljko Jović, in the class of prof. MA Miljan Bjeletić, won a high III place. Students from Italy, Belgium, China, France, Ukraine, etc. participated in the competition… The competitors were judged by a jury consisting of professors from Italy, Belgium, China and France.

Strahinja Marković, a fourth-year student of undergraduate academic studies in the class of DA Stevan Spalević, Assoc. Prof, won I prize (98.25 points) in F category at 30^th International Competition of Young Pianists, which was held from 22^nd to 26^th  April 2026 in Šabac.

Accordion students from the class of full professor Nikola Peković have achieved notable results at renowned international competitions, confirming the high level of performing and artistic quality that is nurtured at the Faculty of Arts in Niš:

Mirko Šunjevarić, a first-year student at the UAS, won I place at VI international BCO festival, organized on the occasion of the 90^th anniversary of the founding of the British College of International Accordionists (Great Britain), held in an online format.

Nemanja Čamagic, a student at the MAS, won III place at the International Competition “Akkordeon Grenzenlos” in the two-stage Senior Classic category without age limits, held from 7^th to 12^th April 2026 in Trossingen (Germany).

Nemanja Čamagic, a student at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, won I place at X International Competition “Viva Accordion”, held on 29^th March 2026 in Aleksinac (Serbia).

These results are a confirmation of the dedicated pedagogical work, as well as the continuity of the success of accordion students at the Faculty of Arts in Niš on the international stage.

On Monday, 20^th April 2026 at 7 pm, in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert-Exhibition Space (Knjaževacka 2a), a concert of students of the Department of Solo Singing in the class of prof. Katarina Simonović Ivanković.

The concert will feature:

On 28^th March 2026, the PREMIERE of the opera performance, the comic opera in one act “Rita” by Gaetano Donizetti, was performed at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš.

Students, professors, associates and friends, artists from Niš participated in the preparation and implementation of this project. Opera lovers had the opportunity to enjoy the vocal and stage performance. The performance was held with great success and with a large audience, to the joy of everyone, in the Concert and Exhibition Space of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš.
