Tijana Mitić, Sara Popović, Paulina Aleksić and Marta Pejčić, students of the Faculty of Arts from the Department of Applied Arts under the mentorship of Miljan Nedeljković, Assistant professor take part in a photo exhibition organized on the occasion of the “Right to Work” competition, which opened on October 18th in the Cultural Institution Old Town in Belgrade.
Nemanja Egerić, an associate at the Faculty of Arts, achieved significant success in the Contemporary Music Competition organized by the Institute of Contemporary Art Music (INSAM), ranking second with 94.50 points. The competition was held on October 17th, 2019 at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo.
Ivana Milošević, MAS Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, participated with Niš Chamber Choir at “Razvigor” Choir Festival, the first memorial to prof. Jovica Gavrilović at Center for Culture and Art in Aleksinac, on October 19th, 2019. Niš Chamber Choir won the first prize in the mixed choir category and the first prize for a given composition, which was Jovica Gavrilovic’s “Mother advised Mary” (Majka Maru svjetovala) in this category.
Danijela Zdravić Mihailović, PhD Associate professor will participate in the international scientific conference “Serbian Language, Literature, Art”, which will be held on October 25th and 26th, 2019 at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac. On that occasion, she will present the work “Roma Music Practice in Niš”.
Mina Krasić, master student in the class of Andrija Mamutović, MAS, Associate professor, held full-length recitals in Smederevo in the Cultural Center Hall, in the Hall of Music School in Vranje and in the Theater Small Hall in Kruševac between June and October 2019.
Within the program of ANIMATOR FEST – 7th European Festival of Animated Film of Children and Youth in Jagodina, Anita Milić, Associate professor and Miljana Radenković, PhD Assistant held a workshop called “Flipmania” in the Gallery of Cultural Center “Svetozar Marković” in Jagodina.
Concert of 4G’s Guitar Quartet consisting of Stefan Dejanović, Miloš Vuković, Pavle Zarkić and Stefan Milenković, students of guitar in the class of prof. Bratislav Zlatković, Asasociate professor organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, SASA Branch in Niš and the Faculty of Arts in Niš will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019, at 8 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjaževačka 2a.
At 28th International Composers Tribune in Belgrade on October 5th, the composition “Why?” by dr Ana Kazimić, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts, was premiered. The composition was performed by members of the contemporary music ensemble “Construction site”, Ana Radovanović – mezzosoprano, Ana Samardžić – flute, Miljana Popović Materni – violin and Neda Hofman Sretenović – piano.
Katarina Djordjevic, MA full professor of the Faculty of Arts participated in the work of the First International Art Symposium “Keep Biting Me!” In Naples, Italy. Twenty (20) artists from the UK, Italy, Serbia, Egypt, Turkey and Iran have been working in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli during their ten-day stay. The exhibition of the resulting works opened on September 24th, 2019 in the gallery “Fundazione Made in Cloister”. Katarina Djordjevic, MA full professor participated in 23rd Kunstsymposium “Kunst an der Grenze – die Macht der Bilder”: 23rd Artystuczne Symposium “Border on the Border – The Force of the Face”, Lebus, Oderberge, Germany from 18th to 31st August 2019. Artists from Germany, Austria, Poland and Serbia have been creating in the attractive space of the Lebus Oder National Park and the resulting works have been exhibited on August 30th at the Kunstpeicher Gallery in Friedersdorf. The exhibition will be open until the end of December 2019. The sponsors and organizers of the symposium are the Kostrzyn Cultural Center Lebus Cultural Center.
