An exhibition of works by the teachers and associates of the Department of Applied Arts and the Department of Fine Arts, marking the nineteenth anniversary of the successful work of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, will be set up on Wednesday, 22nd December 2021 in the Faculty Concert Showroom.
Double bass students at the 30th Bassomania Double Bass Festival in Belgrade
Aleksandra Trifunović, Mihailo Filipović, Nadja Dabetić, Stefan Ekmedžić and Vito Ilić, double bass students in the class of Associate prof. MA Ljubinko Lazić, participated in the master course of Roman Patkol and performed at the final concert within the 30th Bassomania Double Bass Festival in Belgrade. Prof. Lazić performed with the double bass quartet “4 and a half double bass” at two concerts at the Festival which was held in the period from 8th to 12th December 2021.
Students performing at A FEST in Novi Sad
The chamber trio consisting of: Jovana Jovanović – flute, Marinko Andrejić – violin and Andrija Djordjević – guitar, master degree students in the class of full prof. MA Dragana Djordjević, will perform on 15th December 2021 at the concert entitled “Similarity separates, diversity connects” within the A FEST festival, organized by the Department of Music Art of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
Concert of Piano students in Leskovac
Piano master students Teodora Spasojević, in the class of Andrija Mamutović DA, Assistant professor and Nikola Pavlović, in the class of Stevan Spalević, DA, Assistant professor held an all-night recital in the Ceremonial Hall of the City Hall in Leskovac on Friday, 3rd December 2021. The program included works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Medtner and Messiah.
Concert of solo singing students in Aleksinac
Solo singing students in the class of Saša Arsenkov, MA and Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, with the piano accompaniment of Jelena Deljanin Aleksić, together with students of Aleksinac High School in Aleksinac, under the mentorship of prof. Olivera Bojinović, will perform at a concert called “Russian Evening”. The concert will be held on Tuesday, 7th December 2021, at 6pm in the Great Hall of the Center for Culture and Arts Aleksinac. The program includes works by Russian romantics Tchaikovsky, Surin and Rachmaninoff.
Success of solo singing students at the competition in Ruma
Students of solo singing, in the class of Assoc. prof. MA Katarina Simonović Ivanković and Assist. prof. MA Saša Arsenkov achieved remarkable success at the 23rd International Competition of Solo Singers “Nikola Cvejić” at the Cultural Center in Ruma. Congratulations!
Collective exhibition of works by the Faculty of Arts students in the NKC Gallery
The collective exhibition of works by eighteen students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, entitled “Poetry”, was opened on 30th November 2021 at 7 pm in the Gallery of the Niš Cultural Center. The following students will present their works: Andrijana Jovanović, Danica Ćirić, Elena Denda, Ilija Samac, Irena Tasić, Jana Novaković, Ksenija Stanković, Marija Milosavljević, Marko Cukavac, Nadja Stanisavljević, Ana Milenković, Jana Janić, Jovana Milojević, Marta Pejčić, Milica Zdravković, Minja Djordjević, Nadežda Ristić and Sara Stojanović.
Mobility of the Faculty of Arts student Ksenija Ilić within the Erasmus+ program
Ksenija Ilić, a third-year undergraduate student at the Faculty of Arts in Niš in the study program Performing Arts, module Viola, in the class of Assoc.prof. MA Vesna Rilak Stanimirović – is the selected candidate who is realizing student mobility during the winter semester 2021/2022 year at the higher education institution “Conservatiorio di Musica Niccolo Piccini di Bari” according to the University of Niš Open call for student mobility within the Erasmus+ mobility projects KA103 from 2019 and 2020, for the purpose of studying at foreign higher education institutions of program countries. The candidate also passed the classification exam in Bari and was chosen in a strong competition of candidates from Europe for this mobility. Congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic study visit in Italy!
Scientific conference “Traditional Aesthetic Culture 14: Sensuality and Culture” at the University of Niš
The scientific conference TRADITIONAL AESTHETIC CULTURE 14: SENSITIVITY AND CULTURE, organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts – Branch of SASA in Niš and the University of Niš, Faculty of Arts in Niš, will be held on Friday, 5th November 2021, at 11 am, in the University of Niš multimedia hall no. 8. Due to unfavorable epidemiological circumstances, this year’s gathering will be partly held in a virtual format, and all those interested will be able to follow the presenters live on the Faculty of Arts in Niš Facebook page.
Awards to the Faculty of Arts Chamber and Symphony Orchestra at the Online World Orchestra Festival in Vienna
The Faculty of Arts in Niš Orchestra, under the conductorship of prof. Milena Injac, DMA won two awards at this year’s “World Orchestra Festival” in Vienna, which gathered 140 orchestras from 33 countries at its online edition in 2021.
