The representative exhibition International Spring Salon – “Awakening”, brings together works by 112 artists from Serbia and the surrounding area, who applied for the competition of the art association DivArt and passed the selection. The exhibition synthesizes diverse works of painters and sculptors of different generations and aspirations, poetics and techniques.
The first prize and a solo exhibition in the next exhibition season went to Assoc. prof. DA Jelena Trajković Popivoda for work from the cycle “Vortex”. In the category of Paintings, Commendation was given to the assistant DA Jovana Djordjević for the work “Forming”, while in the Sculpture category, the work “Cookie for Good Morning” by fourth-year painting student Natalija Stamenković, was praised.
International jury composed of: Biljana Vuković (graphic artist, Prof. of FLU, Belgrade), Petar Hranuelli (academic sculptor, Zagreb), Maja Živanović, (journalist and art critic, Belgrade), Slavica Obradinović (art historian, Belgrade) and Melissa Potter (multimedia artist, Columbia College Chicago, USA), decided on awards and commendations in the categories – painting and sculpture.
Students of the Department of Fine Arts also participate in the exhibition, Ljubica Nedeljković with the work “Awakening of Self-Awareness” (oil on canvas), Darko Stefanović with the work “Velasquez” (mosaic), Helena Cetković with the work “Foot” (zgraffito), Aleksandra Stojanović with the work “Interaction” (combined technique), Minja Milanović with the work “Awakening of Venus” (oil on canvas) and Sofija Kovačević with the work “Awakening of Nature” (zgraffito).
The exhibition “Awakening 2022” will be opened at the DivArt Gallery, st. Kosančićev venac no 3 in Belgrade on Tuesday, 12th April 2022 at 7 pm. The exhibition will be open until 11th May 2022.
