Opening of the exhibition of posters made by students of the Department of Applied Arts at the Faculty of Arts in Niš was held on Thursday, 20th June 2013. in the Gallery – Association of Architects of Niš. The exhibition presented works by students of the third and fourth year at the Undergraduate Academic studies and students at the Master Academic studies in Graphic design study program. 

Promotion of the First Discographic Edition by the Faculty of Arts in Niš was held on Monday, 17th June 2013 in Hall 8 at the University of Niš. Along with the appropriate music program of a clarinet and flute quartet in the class of Ivan Jelić, Associate Professor, the audience was addressed by Sonja Cvetković, PhD, Assistant Professor, the author of the accompanying text on the promoted edition.

On Monday, 17th June 2013 in the Hall 8 at the University of Niš, the exhibition of mosaics made by students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš was opened, in the organization of the Faculty of Arts, The Center for Scientific research SANU and the University in Niš. Works of 20 students were presented at the exhibition, created under the mentorship of Slavica Erdeljanović Curk, MA, Associate Professor.

On a crowded stage at the Fortress of Niš Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 was performed on June 15th, 2013, additional manifestation within the celebration of the Jubilee Edict of Milan 313-2013, Serbia. The audience’s standing ovations greeted the musical forces of Niš, masterfully performing the piece of one of the most important German composer.

“The exchange” is part of the celebration of the Edict of Milan and a way of strengthening relationship between York and Niš. 24 (Department of Music, University of York, England), conducted by prof. dr William Brooks, and the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, with the dean prof. dr Suzana Kostić, organized and coordinated the cooperation in the exchange of musical expression, mutually presenting music programs in two cities, in Niš, Serbia, and in York, England.

The world-renowned violinist Nemanja Radulović was awarded with the Honorary Doctorate on Tuesday, June 4th 2013. The honorary doctorate of the University of Niš Nemanja Radulović was awarded by the Rector of the University of Niš, Dragan Antić, PhD, at the ceremony especially organized on this occasion.

Violinist Nemanja Radulović held a two-day master class course for violin, on 4th and 5th June 2013 at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. On the first day, the course was attended by the participants of the course and the second day of the course was open to the public and it was held in a crowded Concert Showroom of the Faculty of Arts.

The opening of the annual exhibition of students’ works of the Department of Fine Arts and the Department of Applied Arts was held on Tuesday, June 4th 2013, in the premises of the Department of Fine Arts (Art School Niš, No.6, Prvomajska Street) at 12 pm, and in the premises of the Department of Applied Arts (Primary School Njegoš, No.60, Pantelejska Street) at 1 pm.

Mila Polić, a student of the final year at the study program of graphic design, is the winner of a competition for the logo design of the Emperor Constantine that was established by the company IDEA doo Belgrade. On the occasion of the city celebration, the winner was awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Suzana Kostić, PhD, on Sunday, June 2nd 2013, in the amphitheater at the quay, in the presence of Regional Director of IDEA doo, Slobodan Titin.

The premiere concert of students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš with the Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Toshio Yanagisaw, was held on 30th May 2013 in the Hall of Niš Symphony orchestra, at 8 pm.
