According to the words of the critic, “Refreshment of 63rd Ochrid summer” – The Faculty of Arts “Concertante” representative chamber orchestra was greeted with standing ovations under the conductorship of maestro DMA Milena Injac at one of the biggest festivals in Europe, 63rd international festival “Ochrid Summer” in Ochrid, under the auspices of the Republic of North Macedonia Ministry of Culture

At the concert, Jovan Bogosavljević’s three-movement work Argentinian fantasy for two violins and chamber orchestra with soloists was also premiered by prof. Jovan Bogosavljević and assoc. prof. Marija Rajković. In the first movement, one of the solo parts was performed by student Vito Ilić on the tambourine. The work of Jovan Bogosavljević enters the history of this festival, according to the organizers, since it was composed for 63rd Ochrid Summer Festival.

In the second part of the concert, Astor Piacola’s demanding work Seasons for violin and chamber orchestra was performed with orchestral solos: Aleksa Spasić- concertmaster, Tijana Filipović- leader of second violins, prof. Vesna Rilak Stanimirović- viola leader, Nenad Ilić- cello leader, as well as Vito Ilić and Stefan Ekmedžić. Our renowned violinist prof. Jovan Bogosavljevic, performed as a soloist. Full prof. Maestra Injac together with “Concertante” chamber orchestra also performed the works of Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzolla at the level of a professional orchestra, according to the opinion of the critics.

Concert of chamber orchestra “Concertante” at international festival “Skopje summer” in Skopje

On 24th July 2023, the chamber orchestra “Concertante” finished its concert tour at the international festival “Skopje summer” under the conductorship of maestro Milena Injac. Jovan Bogosavljević and Marija Rajković performed as soloists in Jovan Bogosavljević’s composition “Argentine Fantasy” for two violins and chamber orchestra. In the concert second part, the orchestra performed the famous work of Astor Piazzolla, “The Seasons” with soloist Jovan Bogosavljević. In the solo sections, the leaders of the representative orchestra “Concertante” also performed, playing pieces of Carlos Gardel. Maestra Injac, along with the soloists and the orchestra, were greeted with audience ovations and support by the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia representatives.

     as a result of scientific cooperation with the following scientific institutions: Cognitive Science Network of the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, Canada; International Chair in Mathematical Physics and Applications (ICMPA-UNESCO Chair), University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin.

     CM:FP 2023 brought together leading scientists in the field of constructive mathematics and mathematics education, as well as prominent experts dealing with the application of these fields. At the conference, 34 papers were presented, the authors of which coming from leading universities from Europe (Serbia, Great Britain, Germany, France, Norway, Italy, Russia, Slovenia, Croatia), Africa (Benin, South Africa), North America (Canada, USA). , Asia (Japan) and Australia.

     We, the organizers of CM:FP 2023, would like to express our special gratitude to the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš and its dean, prof. DMA Milena Injac. Many thanks to professional associate Marko Milisavljević for performing our anthem and the student anthem Gaudeamus Igitur, as well as master student Aleksandra Avramović for performing compositions on the guitar at the opening of the exhibition “Dialogue with Artificial Intelligence” organized by CAM-FMEN in cooperation with the Science and Technology Park .

     Thanks to the conceptual solution of Faculty of Arts professor Anita Milić, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš Center for Applied Mathematics, CAM-FMEN, got its LOGO. We, the members of the Center, are extremely grateful to her for that.

Marta Pejčić in the official selection of international student poster competition “Encounters”, in Tarnow, Poland

At International Student Poster Competition in Poland, the works of Marta Pejčić, the Department of Applied Arts master student were selected. The “Encounters” exhibition is an international competition for printed, digital and animated posters. The aim of the event is to analyze the current development of graphic design and look at the effects of different studies specializing in the field of posters in terms of the type, nature and variety of curricula within undergraduate, master and doctoral studies. The exhibition takes place from 16th June to 29th July 2023, at Tarnow Cultural Center in Poland.

Prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA is the laureate of the University of Niš Charter

Prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA, is the laureate of the University of Niš Charter for outstanding contribution to the University of Niš development.

The award was presented by prof. PhD Dragan Antić, the University rector and prof. PhD Dušan Trajković, the University Council President at the ceremonial academy on the occasion of celebrating the 58th University anniversary, in the presence of numerous dignitaries.

Concert of the Faculty of Arts Orchestra and soloists

On the occasion of the University of Niš Day, the Faculty of Arts Orchestra and soloists held a charity concert on 14th June 2023, to help with the treatment of our alumni violinist Jovana Pavlović. Student soloists presented themselves in the full Faculty of Arts Concert– Exhibition Hall: Piano duo Marija Stanković- Danilo Djokić (in the class of prof. Dragana Djordjević, MA), Kristina Mančić, flute and Jovana Vojinović, flute (class of Assoc. prof. Jelena Jakovljević), Lazar Mutavdžić, violin (in the class of Assoc. prof. Marija Rajković, MA) and Boris Pećanac, piano (in the class of Assoc. prof. Stevan Spalević, DMA). Pieces by Mozart, Bach, Sibelius and Grieg were performed, and the young musicians were rewarded with great applause by the audience. The orchestra owes a special thanks for the continuous cooperation of Assist. prof. Milan Stajić, MA, horn and alumni MAS Sofija Stajić, horn, as well as Vladimir Vezenković, oboe. The following Orchestra students played: Aleksa Spasić, Tijana Filipović, Milana Trujanović, Nikola Gligorijević, Marta Kostić, Jelena Stamenković, Lolita Jordanova, Andjela Dugonjić, Danica Ilijevska, Nenad Ilić, Petar Todorović, Andrija Kurtić, Stefan Ekmedžić, Vito Ilić, Andjelija Djak, Dušan Vinkić, Nikola Tomić and Veljko Mihajlović, with the technical support was Mihailo Filipović. The orchestra was prepared by teaching assistant Ivan Djačić, the concertmaster was Milica Mitrović (class of prof. Jovan Bogosavljević, MA), and the conductorship was under full prof. DMA Milena Injac.
