The thematic virtual exhibition of works of the Faculty of Arts in Niš students “Art and Disease – Art and Health” was posted on the website of the Branch of SASA in Niš on Thursday, 10th June 2021. The exhibition organized by the Branch of SASA in Niš, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš and the University of Niš Gallery is a gift to the University of Niš for the University Day on 15th June 2021.
Concert of artists from Brazil and Italy in the Concert-Exhibition Space of the Faculty of Arts
Brazilian violinist Tania Camargo Guarnieri and Italian percussionist Andrea Saracino will hold a concert on Tuesday, 22nd June 2021, at 7 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert-Exhibition Space. The entrance to the concert is free, but due to the epidemiological situation, the number of seats is limited.

Miloš Vuković received EuroStrings award as the winner of the competition in Novi Sad
Miloš Vuković, a guitar senior master student in the class of Vesna Petković, MA, full prof. is the winner in the oldest V category at the online guitar competition “Dr Jovan Jovičić” within XV Vojvodina Guitar Fest 2021, which was held from 21st to 24th May 2021 in Novi Sad. With this award, Miloš became a EuroStrings artist for 2022. EuroStrings – European Guitar Festival Collaborative is the first European classical guitar platform and brings together 20 European classical guitar festivals. The platform creates an international opportunities hub for winners of EuroStrings festival competitions, such as: concert tours, educational and training programs that encourage the professional development of guitarists, helping them to develop successful international careers. He also won a valuable cash prize, as well as the Savarez set.
Promotion of the monograph on Konstantin Babić and Paja Jovanović in Belgrade
The promotion of the monograph on Konstantin Babić and Paja Jovanović, published by the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, will be held on Friday, 28th May 2021, at 6 pm in the crypt of the Church of St. Marc in Belgrade. An exhibition dedicated to these two giants of our art scene will be set up in this concert exhibition space, and a short film dedicated to prof. Konstantin Babić will be broadcast. The promotion will be opened by the granddaughter of prof. Kosta Babić, Bojana Babić, who will perform the composition “Preludi giocosi” on the piano. Branka Ivković Petronić, MA, who will be the moderator of the promotion. Besides her, Tatjana Brzulovuć Stanisavljević, PhD, the reviewer, a librarian-advisor of the University Library in Belgrade, as well as Vesna Gagić, a librarian of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, the author of this edition, will speak. In the continuation of the program, the trio Anima will present themselves, consisting of Aleksandra Ristić, MA, full professor – soprano, spec. Ana Veličković-Igić, full professor – flute and spec. Ingrid Janković, Assistant professor – piano, who has the exclusive rights to perform the work of composer Konstantin Babić. The support for the bilingual edition (in Serbian and English) of the project in 2020 was provided by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
The first prize for the chamber ensemble at the competition in Smederevo
Chamber ensemble, the trio “Tres Almas” consisting of Nena Djurić – soprano, Veljko Mihajlović – clarinet and Boris Pećanac – piano in the class of spec. Ingrid Janković, Assistant professor won the I-1 award in IV category in chamber music at VIII International Piano Competition in Smederevo. Congratulations!

Promotion of the publication of the Faculty of Arts at the NCC
As part of the Popular Science and Education Program, in the Small Hall of Niš Cultural Centre on Wednesday, 19th May 2021, at 6 pm, the publications of the Faculty of Arts within the program “Work of the faculties of the University of Niš during Covid 19” were presented. Associate professors Danijela Stojanović, PhD and Danijela Zdravić Mihailović, PhD as well as Vesna Gagić spoke about the publications of the Faculty of Arts. The Faculty of Arts presented two monographs, Aesthetic Experience in Music Teaching, authored by Danijela Zdravković Mihailović, and Factors of Achievement in Music Education, by Danijela Stojanović. Printed, electronic and audio editions of the Faculty were also presented. Andjela Danković, MA, full professor spoke about the latest discographic edition.
