First prize to Miloš Vuković at the “Classic Art” Guitar Festival in Šabac
Miloš Vuković, a guitar student in the class of prof. Vesna Petković, MA, won the 1st prize in VII category of solo guitar at the “Classic Art” Guitar Festival in Šabac. At the same festival, at the organizer,s invitation, Miloš Vuković held a successful lecture with the theme “Sonata for guitar op. 47 of Albert Ginastere” with the aim of bringing this modern sonata closer to the audience. Sonata for guitar of A. Ginastere is abundant with percussion and other effects on the instrument and is often the subject of fierce discussions in the guitar circles.

„PlakArt” exhibition of students of the Department of Applied Arts
The exhibition “PlakArt” by students of the Department of Applied Arts of the Faculty of Arts will be open on Tuesday, 19th February 2019, at 7 pm Gallery Art55 in Niš. Aleksandra Stojanović and Nevena Stojanović – finalists of the world poster competition in Seoul
The works of Aleksandra Stojanović and Nevena Stojanović, the fourth year students of the Department of Applied Arts, were included in the final selection of the world poster competition on the topic “Posterrorism”, held in Seoul, Korea.
Concert of Slobodanka Pajić in Kruševac

“Composer of the Year” Award to Aleksandar Sedlar
Aleksandar Sedlar, MAS, Assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, received the “Composer of the Year” Award for Symphony No. 1 awarded by the music magazine “Musica Classica”. The award ceremony will be held at the Museum of National Theatre in Belgrade, on Thursday, 31st January 2019 at 6 pm. Congratulations! The “Musica Classica” Prize was founded in 2010, when the first issue of the “Musica Classica” magazine was published. It was designed as an acknowledgment to local artists, ensembles, festivals, publishers, critics, music institutions and the media, which made the most significant track on the domestic music scene within the calendar year.
