Suzana Kostic, PhD, a full professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, will participate in the jury at the International Choral Festival “Emanol Popescu”, which is held in the Romanian city of Pitesti. The festival, which will be held from 18^th to 20^th May 2018, is within Pitesti Day celebration. The choirs^, performances will be held at the Philharmonic Hall.

VI International Student Complementary Piano Competition will be held in Niš from 26^th to 28^th May 2018. The aim of the competition is to encourage the motivation and affirmation of young artists, as well as to encourage their personal creative potentials through performing. The competition, organized by the Faculty of Arts in Niš, will be held at the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom (Knjaževačka 2a street).

Piano students in the class of prof. Stevan Spalević, Assistant Professor, have won valuable prizes at International Competition Donne in Musica in Kragujevac. Congratulations!

Pavle Žarkić, the 2^nd year guitar student, in the class of Vesna Petković, MA, Associate professor will hold a solo concert in Smederevo at the Museum hall on 16^th May 2018. The program includes: Bach, Rodrigo, Albenize, Piazzolla, Ponce. Miloš Vuković, the third year guitar student in the same class will be the guest at the concert.

Zoran Stanisavljević, MA, Associate Professor at Faculty of Arts in Niš, as the conductor of the Student Cultural Center Academic Choir of the University of Niš, will hold a full-length concert on Thursday, 17^th May 2018 in the church of St. Cyril and Methodius in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Apart from other pieces, the Choir will also perform compositions by Dragan Tomić, MA, Associate professor at Faculty of Arts in Niš.

Vesna Petković, MA and Bratislav Zlatković, associate professors at Faculty of Arts, are taking part in the organization of the XIV International “Naissus Guitar Festival”, which will be held from 18^th to 20^th May, 2018 at Faculty of Arts in Niš and Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom.

Exhibition of paintings “The Escape” by Aleksandar Marković, the final year student of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, in the class of prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA will be opened on Saturday, 12^th May 2018, at 6 pm in the Office for Youth in the Officer^,s House (Orlovića Pavla 28a street).

Marija Randjelović, PhD will hold a lecture on the invitation entitled “The Artist and the Importance of Social Networks and Culture or Profit – Artist’s Orientation”, on Wednesday, 16^th May 2018, at 3 pm in the Faculty of Arts in Niš room no. 12  The lecture is organized by the Faculty of Arts in Niš Center for lifelong learning.

Sara Bogdanović, a piano student in the class of Andrija Mamutović, Assistant professor, won III prize in IX category at V International Piano Competition in Smederevo. Congratulations!
