Great success of Aleksandar Raos at the competition in Zagreb

Aleksandar Raos, a master class student in the class of professor Aleksandar Serdar, won the Second prize at the 6th International Pianist Competition Svetislav Stančić in Zagreb, competing with six competitors in the final in the Lisinski Grand Hall. The first prize was not awarded, making Raos the winner of the competition. In addition to this prestigious award, he was also voted the best competitor by the audience, as well as by the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and conductor Mladen Tarbuka, with whom he will perform as a soloist at a full-length concert next season. Congratulations!!

Nemanja Stanković declared Young Performer of the Year

Nemanja Stanković, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, has received the “Young Performer” Award, awarded by the music magazine “Muzika klasika”. The award ceremony will be held at the National Theatre Museum in Belgrade on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, at 6pm. Congratulations!

Recollection on Konstantin Babić and Paja Jovanović

A multimedia exhibition and a concert entitled “Recollection on Konstantin Babić and Paja Jovanović” on the occasion of the 90th birthday of music artist Konstantin Babić and the 60th anniversary of the death of painter Paja Jovanović were held on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a.

Workshop of conductor Fernanda Gil Estrada at the Faculty of Arts in Niš

The composer from Ecuador, Fernando Gil Estrada, held a workshop on “Choral Music of Latin America” at the Faculty of Arts in Niš on November 17th and 18th, 2017. At the workshop in which the Faculty of Arts choir took part, they learned about the stylistics and ways of interpreting different authors of Latin America.
