The Faculty of Arts in Niš is the laureate of the St. Sava Award for 2023
On Saturday, 27th January 2024, on St. Sava’s Day, St. Sava Award for 2023 was handed in to the Faculty of Arts in Niš. This important republican award was presented to the awarded individuals and representatives of institutions at the reception held on the occasion in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, by the Minister of Education, prof. dr Slavica Djukić Dejanović. The award for the Faculty of Arts was received by Dean, prof. DMA Milena Injac. On that occasion, the minister emphasized the exceptional contribution of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš in the development of artistic higher education in the Republic of Serbia. The laureates of St. Sava Awards were presented to dignitaries and a wide television audience in the live broadcast of the ceremonial academy held the same evening in the MTS Hall in Belgrade, entitled “In the Spirit of Saint Sava”. Last year, the Faculty of Arts in Niš was the laureate of the prestigious award “Svetislav Milić” for the outstanding results achieved in the engagement of its students in the field of culture and art, as well as for the popularization of art through exhibitions, concerts, operas and other activities. This proves that the St. Sava award continues a series of recognitions by the academic public for the dedicated work of the management, teachers, associates and students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, who unfortunately, besides two decades of existence, still do not have an adequate space and work in several different locations in the city.
