After 50 years, and thorough preparations, the premiere performance of the operetta Die Fledermaus, of the refurbished Niš opera occurred on May 22nd 2013 at the National Theatre in Niš. Setting the first opera performance in Niš, after a few decades pause, involved primarily relying on home artists. At the theatrical and musical spectacle of the year, which involved almost 300 performers, all of them, except the conductor Dejan Savić, were practically from Niš.

The final concert of the participants of the master class course was performed on Wednesday, 10th April, 2013 at the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom.

Within the celebration of the 1700th Anniversary of the Edict of Milan, Faculty of Arts in Niš organized on 18th March 2013, in Hall 8 at the University of Niš, lecturing of the art historian and archaeologist Miša Rakocija, PhD, an associate advisor at the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments of Niš on the topic The Art of the Old Christian Niš.

The Faculty of Arts in Niš organized the master class course for piano technique and counterpoint (from 13th to 16th March, 2013), held by Aleksandar Serdar, MA, Full Professor at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade. At the end of the master class course, the active participants performed at the final concert.
The exhibition of mosaics and sgraffiti of students of the Faculty of arts, Niš, held in the Gallery SKC in Belgrade
On 11th March 2013, in the Gallery of the Student,s Cultural Centre (SKC) in Belgrade the exhibition of mosaics and sgraffiti of students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš was officially opened. On the tenth exhibition of student works created under the supervision of Slavica Erdeljanović Curk, MA, Associate Professor, 25 students exhibited more than 30 mosaics and sgraffiti.
VII Scientific conference “The approach to music work”
Faculty of Arts in Niš organized VII scientific conference entitled Approach to music work. The conference was held on Saturday, 2nd March 2013 at the Hall 12 at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. 17 participants of the conference presented their scientific papers.
Promotion of the book “The research methodology applied in musicology” by Dimitrije Bužarovski, PhD
Dimitrije Bužarovski, PhD, Full Professor at the Faculty of Music Art in Skopje, held a promotion of the book The research methodology applied in musicology, on Thursday, 7th March 2013, in the Small Hall at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. After the presentation, prof. Bužarovski performed several compositions for piano from his work.
