DRAGANA DjORDjEVIĆ

DRAGANA DjORDjEVIĆ, MA (1971) graduated at Department of Piano at the Faculty of  Music Arts in Belgrade in 1995, in the class of  prof.  Mirjana Vukdragović and upgraded her skills in Chamber Music in 2001, in the class of  prof.  Olivera  Đurđević. She obtained her MA degree in Piano Accompaniment, in the class of prof. Todor Svetiev  at the Faculty of  Music Arts in Skoplje. As a soloist, a member of different chamber ensembles and a piano accompanist, apart from numerous concerts realized throughout Serbia, she performed at almost all regions of former Yugoslavia, as well as in France, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, England and Austria. She has presented herself with her whole-evening concerts at many significant festivals in the country and abroad: Niš International Music Festival (NIMUS), the International Choral Festival (IHS) in Niš, the Youth Podium (Novi Sad), The Mokranjac,s Days (Negotin), the October Music Festival in Kragujevac (OKTOH), VOICES (Nikšić, Montenegro), Skoplje Summer (Skoplje, Macedonia), the Blue Moon Festival (Karditsa, Greece) etc. She was a member of the project The National concert season 2008/09, which was organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Serbian President. She has realized recordings for Radio-Belgrade, Radio -Novi Sad and Radio-Niš, as well as CDs for the magazine Musica classica. Devoting special place to performing of works of contemoporary authors, she has realized a close professional cooperation with many national and international composers, such as: Dejan Despić, Rajko Maksimović, Kosta Babić, Dimitrije Bužarovski etc. Inspired by her interpretation, some of them have devoted their compositions to the ensembles with which she has had performed, relizing in that way very successful world premieres: K. Babić – The Prologue, Suggestion and Epilogue (Italy, 2008) and D. Bužarovski – Cabaret Op. 62a (Macedonia, 2012). Her concert activity has been followed by numerous critiques and reviews by many newspaper media: Musica classica, Politics (Politika), The Evening News (Večernje novosti), The Diary (Dnevnik), New Macedonia, Victory (Pobjeda), The National newspaper (Narodne novine) etc. Currently, she has been the Associate Professor of Chamber Music. During period from 2003 – 2008,  she was the Chairman of  Department and from 2009 – 2012 the the Vice-Dean for Academic affairs at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. Her students have been the winners of great many awards at the festivals for piano-duo, as well as the winners of positive criticism from the Festivals of Chamber music.
