IVAN JELIĆ

IVAN JELIĆ (1956) graduated in Oboa at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, in the class of prof. Ljubiša Petruševski. During many years, he was a regular member of Niš Symphony Orchestra, as a principal oboist. He was a member of the Wind quintet and the Chamber trio with whom he had many successful performances across Serbia. One of his greatest achievements was I Prize at the International soloist competition in Langolen, Great Britain (in 1977). As a professor of Oboa and Chamber music, he has won numerous prizes with his students at the festivals and competitions. He was a conductor of the city chamber orchestra Empress Theodora (since 1975). He works as an Associate professor at the subject Chamber music at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.
