IVANA MIROVIĆ

Ivana-MirovicIVANA MIROVIĆ, MA (1976) graduated from the Faculty of Music Art of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, at Department of Music theory and Choral conducting, in the class of prof. Dragan Šuplevski. She was a member and the Assistant conductor of the Choir of Macedonian Opera. She worked at the Secondary Music School and the Music College in Niš. She completed her postgraduate studies in 2006 at the Faculty of Music Arts of the University of Belgrade, at Department of Conducting, in the class of prof. Darinka Matić Marović. She has realized a long-term cooperation with the Niš Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the Army, Niš, and the Chamber Orchestra Constantinus. She performed in numerous concerts in the country and abroad with the Niš Chamber Choir, whose conductor she was from 2000 and with which she successfully presented herself in a capella and vocal-instrumental music by Bruckner, Verdi, Pergolesi, Maksimović, Mokranjac. She has performed at many festivals and won the prestigious awards: The Choirs among Frescoes, Belgrade; The Music edict, Niš; The Mokranjac Days, Negotin; International Choral Festival in 2010, Niš; Niš International Music Festival (NIMUS),Niš; Bijeljina (I awards in 2004 and 2006); Ohrid (two I awards in 2009-the First Prize in the category of mixed choirs and the First prize for the best performance of the composition by Macedonian author); in Bulgaria, Poland and Greece. Together with the soloists, the choir and the orchestra of the Faculty of Arts in Niš she has realized the operas: Orfeo ed Euridice, K. W. Gluck, the stage performance, and La Clemenza di Tito, W. A. Mozart, the concert performance. Since 2009, she has worked at the Faculty of Arts, currently as the Assistant Professor at the subject Choir. Within the reconstruction of opera scene in Niš, she was preparing a choir and soloists of the opera studio of the Faculty of Arts in Niš for performing operetta “Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss, in 2014 and opera The Barber of Seville – G. Rossini, where she was the assistant director in 2015. Since November 2012, she has been the artistic director and conductor of Women’s Choir of Students, Cultural Centre in Niš. With Women’s Choir she won Second prize at the Festival of Choirs in Ohrid in 2013, First III prize and a bronze medal in 2015 at the Choir Festival in Preveza (Greece).
