JELENA TRAJKOVIĆ

JELENA TRAJKOVIĆ, MA (1980) graduated from the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, in the class of prof. Čedomir Vasić, in 2004; in the class of the same professor, she finished her post-graduate studies, in 2009. She is a PhD student of artistic studies (in the painting area) at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. She went studying in Paris in 2011. She is a member of the Association of Fine artists of Serbia (ULUS). She has worked at the Faculty of Arts in Niš since January 2012 in title of the Assistant Professor of Drawing and Painting – the main subject, at the Department of Visual Arts. She has had 17 solo exhibitions in the country and abroad (Paris, Belgrade, Niš, Novi Beograd, Paraćin, Zrenjanin, Mladenovac, Smederevska Palanka, Kragujevac, Kraljevo) and participated in over 70 group exhibitions both in the country and abroad (Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Germany, Croatia, USA, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro). She received several awards: the Annual Award of the Art Gallery of the Ilija M. Kolarac Foundation in 2008/2009; the Award of Niš Art Foundation, an Exhibition of the young artists in 2009; from 2004-2006, she was a holder of the scholarship for young talents of the Republic Fund for the Development of the Science and Artistic Youth, in 2005 – the Award for a promising young artist at the 8th International Biennial of Miniature Art, Gornji Milanovac assigned by the city Mushlen in Norway, in 2005-the First prize for painting at the Cultural Centre at the VIII Youth art Salon in Novi Sad, in 2005; in 2004 – she obtained the scholarship of the Norwegian Kingdom; in 2004 – the generation best student aweard at the Faculty of Fine Arts (FLU) Belgrade for the academic year 2003/4; in 1999- the generation best student award of the Art school Djordje Krstić in Niš; in 1998 – the First prize for the costume, 7th Republican festival of the new theater forms, Pančevo. She has participated in numerous art colonies, workshops, seminars and forums. Her works are a part of the collections of many galleries, cultural institutions and private collections.
