MILICA MICIĆ, MA (1981, Niš) is one of the first generation of the zero year at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. She graduated from the Department of Piano in 2002, and obtained her MA degree in 2005, in the class of prof. Dejan Sinadinović, at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade. In 2013, she finished her specialistic studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, in the class prof.dr.hc Arbo Valdma. She has performed at the concerts, festivals, forums and competitions as a soloist and a chamber musician. Some of her major competitions abroad are: San Bartolomeo (1995–the first prize) and Monkallieri (1998–the second prize, the first not awarded) in Italy; the competition of contemporary music in Krakow – Poland (2001) Krzysztof Penderecki – the award for the best interpretation of a contemporary work; at Crete, Greece, in 2006 she won the third prize in the category of the piano duo. She was several times a laureate at the national and federal competitions as a soloist of a piano duo and piano trio. She has worked as a soloist and the orchestra member, with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Niš Symphony Orchestra, the Radio Television Serbia Orchestra, the Pärnu City Orchestra (Estonia). She has had a great experience as a chamber musician and has also played in the ensembles, with a group of percussion instruments, wind musicians and in different combinations. She has manifested a special affinity towards the contemporary art and new musical trends, as well as the arranging. From 2002 to 2007, she was engaged as an accompanist in the Music school Kornelije Stanković in Belgrade. She has worked at the Faculty of Arts in Niš since 2007, and since 2011 she has been the Senior Artistic Associate at the Department of Wind Instruments.
