Mina Mijović, MA

Mina Mijović, MA (1994) enrolled in the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade at the age of 14, and graduated in the class of prof. Nevena Popović. She was a scholarship recipient at the Berklee College of Music in 2012, and in 2013 she finished her master studies in the class of prof. Ninoslav Živković. With a full scholarship from the University of South Florida, she enrolled in her master studies and worked as an assistant at the aforementioned University. She was a member of the official university trio – President Trio. She is currently at her PhD studies at Piano Department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, under the mentorship of prof. Dorian Leljak. At the age of 13, she performed in Kolarac Endowment Hall in Belgrade with the Symphony Orchestra of Music school Stevan Mokranjac. She also performed in other renowned concert halls, such as the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, SASA, Artget and Ethnographic Museum, Stram Center of Performing Arts Tampa, Palladium theater St. Petersburg, SPC Auditorium Clearwater and Barnes music recital hall Tampa (USA), Kavalierhäuser Schloss Königs Wusterhausen (Germany), Conservatorio di musica P.I. Tchaikovsky (Italy), Oldesloe Kirche (Netherlands), Teatro Reina Sofia (Spain), Ljubljana Philharmonic Hall (Slovenia), Vene kultuurikeskus, Narva Museum Methodist, Hopneri May Hall and Jaani Kirik (Estonia). She is extremely proud of the cooperation she has achieved with the Tampa Bay Symphony Orchestra, under the leadership of Maestro Mark Sforcini. These concerts were realized as a prize for the I Award won at Young Artist Competition Tampa (USA) in 2016, for which the critics were published in the Tampa Bay Times by the art critic Andrew Mitcham. So far, she has won over 25 first and special awards in the country and abroad in competitions, such as: HIPC (Netherlands), Young piano stars (Germany), Petar Konjović and Isidor Bajić (Serbia), but especially should be emphasized that she is a five-time Laureate of the Republican competition of Serbia. Highly professional reviews of her performances and interpretations have been shown by the eminent pianist names of the domestic and international music scene. She has cooperated with Latin-GREMMY nominated Jose Valentino Ruiz, PhD, a jazz/classical flutist and composer, on the album Zohet, for the song “Revelación del Viento”. She also dealt with pedagogical work at Music school Dr Vojislav Vučković in Čačak, and also as a piano associate at music school Dr Miloje Milojević in Kragujevac. Currently, she is working as an associate at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.
