The opening of the exhibition "MASTER 2017" of Master Academic Studies students at Department of Applied Arts, was held on 12th July 2017 at 8 pm in the Fortress Pavilion. The exhibition lasted until 18th July 2017. "Six students from Master Studies at Department of Applied Arts of Faculty of Arts in Niš, have decided this year to take on design tasks and show us their results. These six students presenting themselves today are: Luka Simić, Marija Petrović, Emilija Milošević, Saša Aleksić, Aleksa Skočajić and Ana Mijailović They have worked inexorably on the research of the selected topics and after a year we can say that the results are present. These diverse contents were derived from their own interests. Young authors prove by these works their readiness to step into the designer, s world of the modern era. The opening of the exhibition "DIPLOMA 2017" of Master Academic Studies students at Department of Fine Arts, was held on 5th July 2017 at 8 pm in the Fortress Pavilion. The main goal of this traditional exhibition, realized by Faculty of Arts in Niš in cooperation with the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Niš, is the presentation of the creative achievements of young artists who have acquired professional education in the field of painting. The exhibition is open until 11th July 2017. One-year research of visual issues at master academic studies reveals us individual approaches in creating the work of eight authors - Danica Milošević, Marijana Veličkovski, Emilija Novaković, Jovan Spasić, Martina Mitić, Jelena Milosavljević, Aleksandra Simović and Ivana Jovanović. These young creators, under the mentorship of prof. Bratislav Bašić, MA and prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA, incorporated academic knowledge with an analytical and studious approach into a new, personal artistic expression. The exhibition "DIPLOMA 2017" is also announcing successful professional activities of these eight young artists on the current art scene. The University of Niš celebrates 52 years of successful educational, scientific and artistic work. On this occasion, the Faculty of Arts in Niš organized a series of concerts and exhibitions.
The exhibition "Graphic Integrations" by Department of Applied Arts students, organized by Student Cultural Center Niš, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the University of Niš, was opened in the University Hall on Monday, 5th June 2017. The works were realized during lectures from narrow specific subjects of the Graphic Design study program (Graphic Communications, Poster and Spatial Graphics) which prove inexhaustible resources of Faculty of Arts students, fresh ideas. According to Anita Milić: "Graphic integrations are, therefore, an implicit part of our cultural and social model." V International student complementary piano competition was held in Niš from 26th – 28th May 2017. The aim of the competition is to encourage motivation and affirmation of young artists, as well as encouraging their personal creative potentials through performance. The competition, organized by Faculty of Arts in Niš, was held in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom (Knjaževačka 2a). This year's contestants were evaluated by an expert jury: FRANK PETERS (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, ArtEZ Conservatory – in Arnhem and Zwolle) PARIS TSENIKOGLOU (Greece), MARTA KRŽIČ (Music Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia), MILENA RAJKOVIĆ (Faculty of Arts in Niš) and DRAGAN TOMIĆ (Faculty of Arts in Niš). Competition Opening ceremony was held on Friday 26th May 2017 in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, on which occasion pianist Paris Tsenikoglou from Greece performed. Exhibition of Faculty of Arts in Niš students, on the occasion of Students, Day organized by Student Cultural Center in Niš, was officially opened on Wednesday, 22nd March 2017, in the University of Niš hall. "The Faculty of Arts in Niš is the youngest faculty of the University of Niš, but its activity has undergone significant successes and profound changes during its history. For this reason, and on the occasion of marking the University of Niš Students' Day, on 22nd March, an exhibition of student works was realized at Graphic Design study program, Department of Applied Arts of the Faculty of Arts in Niš. The exhibition is the integration of this study program three main subjects - Spatial Graphics, Poster and Graphic Communications. Graphic design is important because the creation of symbolic representations of human thoughts and their exchange is based on human communication. It relates primarily to what is a key feature of culture - the exchange of knowledge and meaning by message. In other words, the process of knowledge transfer and the dialogue creation are two basic segments for creating a public exchange of opinions and attitudes. Anita Milić, Asst. prof. The exhibition of Faculty of Arts in Niš teachers and associates "Works on Paper" was officially opened by prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA, Faculty of Arts in Niš vice-dean for quality and international relations, on Tuesday, 21st March 2017, starting at 5pm at gallery "Rafael Mihailov" in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria. The gallery possesses 14 special exhibition rooms that are spread over 3 floors. On this occasion, Faculty of Arts in Niš delegation led by the Dean Suzana Kostić, PhD visited "St. Cyril and Methodius" University of Veliko Turnovo and the already long-standing cooperation between this University and Faculty of Arts in Niš was confirmed at the meeting with the University Rector prof. Hristo Bondzolov, PhD. During the visit, the exhibition activity of students and professors of Veliko Turnovo University Faculty of Fine Arts was determined with the Dean prof. Boris Georgiev Zelev, MA. The faculty sculpture class was visited with prof. Ljutakov. The beginning of cooperation between the two faculties was arranged with the Faculty of Education Dean prof. Venka Kutova Cvetkova, PhD through scientific meetings, concerts and other activities. Faculty of Education is adorned with stained glass and mosaics that are the Faculty of Fine Arts in Veliko Turnovo student works.

The exhibition of student works "Playing" officially opened Faculty of Arts in Niš Exhibition season, on Monday 6th March 2017, starting at 7:30 pm in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjaževačka 2a. Papers and student films were produced at four-day animation workshop "Playing" by Marija Vulić. It is the first animated film workshop to be held at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. It was derived from the need to supplement classes on the subject Graphic Communications with another activity that would enable students with an invaluable experience, acquired knowledge and skills in this area by competent presenter, Marija Vulić. With new expression in digital medium, animator Marija Vulić and 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students and the Department of Applied Arts master students, are starting playing with their creative horizons. By exhibiting storyboards, students have shown a clear difference in the way of thinking and expression in each of them, while in the process of creating an animated film they are acting as a team that creates with the aim of promoting the film animation. Faculty of Arts, University of Niš organized a four-day workshop on stop-motion animation, from Friday 3rd March to Monday 6th March 2017 in the premises of Department of Applied Arts. The workshop of animated film will be held by MarijaVulić, artistic director of the Festival of Animated Film - Animator fest Jagodina.
