Predrag Cvetičanin, Ph.D (1963) graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Niš, majoring in Sociology of Arts. He received his first Master’s degree at the Department of History and Philosophy of Art at the Central European University in Prague in 1995; the second Master’s degree at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 1997 (majoring in Sociology of arts); and the third one at the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific methods of the London School of Economics of the University of London in 1998. He defended his PhD thesis on the topic of the Sociology of Culture at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade. From 1991 to 2010, he worked at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš as a teaching assistant intern and a teaching assistant for the courses of Sociology of Arts and Sociology of Culture and Art. From 2012 to 2015, he taught courses on the Theory of Cultural Production, Sociology of Culture and Arts, Sociology, Culture and Globalization, Programming of Cultural Events in Tourism, Cultural Spaces and Project Cycle Management at the Faculty of Sport and Tourism, TIMS, in Novi Sad. From 2014 onwards, he has been engaged as a lecturer for the subject called Cultural Policies and Cultural Rights at the UNESCO Department of Cultural Policies and Cultural Management of the University of Art in Belgrade. He has also published twenty papers in national and international scientific and expert journals, as well as chapters in collections, and he has presented papers at twenty-one international conferences. He has been a member of the European Sociological Association (ESA) since 2005 and the international Network for the Studies of Cultural Distinction and Social Differentiation (SCUD) since 2009. Since 2015, he has been a board member of the Research Network for Sociology of Culture of the European Sociological Association.
