SLAVICA ERDELJANOVIĆ CURK

SLAVICA ERDELJANOVIĆ CURK, MA (1954) graduated from the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1979, in the class of prof. Rajko Nikolić. She obtained her MA in 1983 at the same faculty in the field of Wall painting, in the class of prof. Gradimir Petrović. She worked as a teacher of drawing and painting at the Art School in Niš from 1981 to 2004. She continued her pedagogical work at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, where she has thought since 2004 as the Associate Professor of Monumental painting- Wall painting. She has been a member of the Association of Fine artists of Serbia (ULUS) since 1983and of the group ARTE since 2010. She has had 20 solo exhibitions and participated in 133 group exhibitions in the country and abroad. Her works are in the public and private collections. During the past decade, she has realized 45 stained glass- vitrages and 6 mosaics in the country and abroad. She has produced 110 visual solutions according to which were realized the monumental collages of a textile. At the Venice Biennale in 2001, Mirjana Teofanović, the art historian and the international judge in the field of a textile design, presented 21 collages of a textile as a new form of creativity in a textile. This opus was also shown at a solo exhibition in Niš. She has aIso realized 18 visual solutions in the field of graphic design. 6o bibliographical units about her work were published and 10 major units are: in 1984-Zagreb, Croatia, the Award for drawing of the Ministry of Culture of Croatia; in 1987- Priština, Serbia, the First Prize of the Gallery Ramiz and Boro at the exhibition Women artists members of the the Association of Fine artists of Serbia (ULUS); in 1989-Niš, Serbia, the First Prize of the Art colony in Sićevo; in 1999-Čačak, Serbia, the Gold Medal Mihajlo Pupin for a design of the company product in Corona at the Fair of innovations of Serbia; in 2010- Novi Pazar, the Grand prix at the First International Biennial of the art works on paper; Niš, Serbia, the Gallery Serbia, in 2001; 13th May- Skopje, Macedonia, the Gallery of the Association of Fine Artists of Macedonia, in 2008; Bar, Montenegro, the Gallery Velimir A. Leković, in 2010; Niš, Serbia, the Gallery Art 55, in 2011/12.
