Slobodan Milivojević, Ph.D

Slobodan Milivojević, Ph.D  (1980), a guitarist, graduated from the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade in the class of professor Srdjan Tošić. Having won a full scholarship from Indiana University Bloomington, USA, he completed the guitar program of the highest level of postgraduate concert practice – the prestigious Artist degree, working with professor Ernesto Bitetti and professor Nigel North. Slobodan finished his doctoral studies in arts at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 2015, under the supervision of professor Srdjan Tošić. He won the first prize in the tenth Competition in the Performance of Music from Spain and Latin America in 2007, and in the same year he won the first prize in the Indianapolis Musicale contest. Slobodan Milivojević,s artistic activity includes numerous solo concerts and recitals throughout Serbia, as well as abroad (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, United States of America, Norway). As a performer, member of juries and lecturer, he is a regular participant in the most relevant guitar festivals in the country and in the region. Since 2018, he has been working as an Assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.
