STEVAN SPALEVIĆ

STEVAN SPALEVIĆ (1983), acquired his bachelor degree in Piano at the Academy of Music Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of prof. Svetlana Bogino. Currently, he is a student of specialist and doctoral academic studies at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, in the class of prof. Aleksandar Serdar. During his education, he took part in many competitions in the country and abroad, where he won the most prestigious awards: the Laureate of the competition Mihailo Vukdragović (Šabac, 2002), the Laureate of the competition EPTA – Scriabin and Bartok (Belgrade, 2005), the semi-finalist of the contestAlexander Scriabin (Grosseto, Italy, 2006), the Diploma of the competitionFrederik Chopin (Varna, Bulgaria, 2010.). He has upgraded his skills in the master classes with the eminent pianists and pedagogues, such as: A. Schiff, Paul B. Skoda, D. Bashkirov, K. H. Kammerling, D. Alexeev, R. Levin, J.Rouvie, A. Lubimov, S. Perticarolli, K. Bogino, B. Romanov, A. Valdma, S. Pochekin, F. Gottlieb, S. Markarov and V. Ogarkov. Since 2010, he has been regularly training at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in one of the most famous festivals in the world Salzburger Festspiele in Salzburg, Austria, where he has had the education through the lectures, seminars and concerts of the most prominent musicians of our time. He received the diploma for the best student of the University of Novi Sad in 2002/2003, as well as the award for the best graduate student of 2007/2008. As a participant in the National Concert Season in 2008/2009 he performed in Niš, Kruševac, Požarevac, Vranje, Čacak, Kraljevo, Leskovac, Pirot and Smederevo. He gained the significant educational experience while working as an Assistant-demostrator at the Department of Piano at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad from 2005 to 2007. In April 2015, he played as a soloist with Niš Symphony Orchestra performing Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto in G-major, op. 58, under the conductorship of Bulgarian conductor Svilen Simeonov. In November 2015, he made his debut as a conductor of a Symphony orchestra “Amoroso and Friends” at the gala concert within the Opening ceremony of Musical encounter dr Mira Ivanović at the National theatre in Leskovac. He worked as Senior artistic associate at Department of Wind instruments of the Faculty of Arts in Niš from April 2008 to January 2014. Since February 2014, he has been employed as an Assistant of Piano at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.
