The Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš, together with the SASA Branch in Niš, is organizing the tenth jubilee BALKAN ART FORUM (BARTF) – a national scientific forum with international participation with the theme Art and culture today: interaction. In the jubilee year, the problem framework is dedicated to the layered phenomenon of interaction in the field of culture and artistic creation, especially when it comes to the diffusion and reception of works of art and the education of taste.
The ceremonial opening of the scientific forum will be held in the University of Niš Great Hall, on Friday, 7th October 2022, at noon. At the opening of the meeting, The attendees will be addressed by prof. PhD Vesna Lopičić, vice-rector for international cooperation of the University of Niš, corresponding member of SASA – prof. PhD Vlada Veljković, President of the Commission for SASA Branch in Niš Work Managing and Prof. DMA Milena Injac, Dean of the Faculty of Arts in Niš.
Plenary lectures, after the forum opening, will be held by Dr Barbara Vujanović, museum advisor of “Atelier Meštrović” in Zagreb, on the topic of “Contemporary artistic interventions in permanent installations – the example of the Museum of Ivan Meštrović” and Dr Marta Vukotić Lazar, associate professor of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Priština, on the topic “Joint exhibitions of the painter Petar Dobrović and the architect Nikola Dobrović (1925-1934) and their significance for the creativity opus of Nikola Dobrović”.
As part of the artistic program of this year’s Balkan Art Forum, David Mastikosa, senior assistant of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka (Department of Music Theory and Composition) and Vladimir Ranković, associate professor of the Faculty of Philology and Art of the University of Kragujevac (Department of Graphic Design) will present their creativity opus. The opus presentation will be held in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert and Exhibition Space, on Saturday, 8th October, at 11 a.m.
