V International student complementary piano competition was held in Niš from 26th – 28th May 2017. The aim of the competition is to encourage motivation and affirmation of young artists, as well as encouraging their personal creative potentials through performance. The competition, organized by Faculty of Arts in Niš, was held in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom (Knjaževačka 2a). This year’s contestants were evaluated by an expert jury: FRANK PETERS (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, ArtEZ Conservatory – in Arnhem and Zwolle) PARIS TSENIKOGLOU (Greece), MARTA KRŽIČ (Music Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia), MILENA RAJKOVIĆ (Faculty of Arts in Niš) and DRAGAN TOMIĆ (Faculty of Arts in Niš). Competition Opening ceremony was held on Friday 26th May 2017 in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, on which occasion pianist Paris Tsenikoglou from Greece performed. On Sunday, 28th May 2017, this year’s Competition awarded students performed at Competition Closing ceremony, after the participants, award distribution.
