Bratislav Djordjević, a fourth-year piano student of basic academic studies in the class of DMA Stevan Spalević, Assoc. Prof, was a participant in master classes by pianists Cindy St. Clair and Marian Lee from the United States at 17th World Piano Conference which is being held from 19th to 23rd May 2025 at „Isidor Bajić“ Music School in Novi Sad.
Third Prize for Vasilije Glavašević at International Competition in Italy
Vasilije Glavašević, a second-year piano student of basic academic studies in the class of DMA Stevan Spalević, Assoc. Prof, won III prize (86 points) in category F at 35th International Competition for Young Musicians (35° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti – Città di Barletta) which was held from 13th to 18th May 2025 at Teatro Comunale Curci Hall in Barletta, Italy.
Second Prize for Boris Pećanac at Competition in Italy
Boris Pećanac, professional associate for the narrower artistic field – Piano, won II prize (90 points) in Ge category (1993 and younger) at 35th International Competition for Young Musicians “Città di Barletta” (35. Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti “Città di Barletta”), which was held from 13th to 18th May 2025 at the Teatro Curci in Barletta, Italy.

Two awards for Luka Petrović in Bulgaria
At recently held XXVIII International Classical Guitar Competition, which was held on 10th-12th April in Kyustendil, Bulgaria, a third-year guitar student in the class of full professor Vesna Petković, MA, won two valuable awards: in IV category, II prize and in V category, I prize.
Flute Festival in Ljubljana “Flute & me”
MA Andjela Danković and students Andjelija Djak in her class, as well as Kristina Mančić, Jovana Vojinović, Jovana Blagojević and Mina Mihajlović in the class of Prof. DMA Jelena Jakovljević, performed and with great success represented the Faculty of Arts and the University of Niš at III international festival Flute & me, which brings together professors and students of music academies from the republics of the former Yugoslavia. They presented themselves with works by Serbian composers, and at the festival closing, they played together with all other participants, performing a specially written work for this occasion, the composition Balkan Road Trip – by the Slavic composer Leon First. There were 95 performers, flautists, students and professors on the podium.

Bratislav Djordjević, a 4th-year piano student of basic academic studies in the class of DMA Stevan Spalević, associate professor, held a solo concert on 7.4.2025. at the Italian Institute of Culture in Belgrade. The program included works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven.
Students and professors from the Department of Applied Arts Participation at FLUID Design Forum in Montenegro and POP-UP Design Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The works of Ana Naumović and Vera Nikolić, students of master studies and PhD Miljana Radenković, Assist. Prof. at the Department of Applied Arts at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, have been selected for the FLUID – Regional Design Awards for Young Designers 2025 competition for exhibition at international exhibitions in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The second public call on the topic Promise me the future!, was announced for the Poster category, by the FLUID Design Forum and the NVU FLUX Cetinje. Young (18 to 35 years old) graphic designers, illustrators, design and architecture students, visual artists, photographers and architects from the region (Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania) were eligible to participate. The jury, consisting of: Mirko Ilić (USA), Borut Wild (RS), Dejan Kršić (CRO), Saša Pešikan (BIH), Nikola Bada Radonjić (MNE), Sandro Drinovac (BIH) and Ana Matić (MNE), selected 34 posters (28 authors) from 182 submitted works, which, together with the selected posters from the first round, will be displayed at the FLUID Design Forum (Cetinje, Montenegro, April 2025) and the POP-UP Design Festival (Sarajevo, BIH, May 2025). This exhibition of international importance is part of the project segment Thematic Exhibitions and is being implemented as part of the BLENDING project, which is supported by UNESCO within the framework of the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans (CC4WBs) project, funded by the European Union with the aim of stimulating dialogue in the Western Balkans through the improvement of the cultural and creative sectors for increased socio-economic impact. The student works were realized in the Poster course, under the mentorship of PhD Slavica Dragosavac, full prof, and PhD Jovana Nikolić, Assistant with a doctorate.
