Bratislav Djordjević, a fourth-year student of undergraduate academic piano studies, in the class of DMA Stevan Spalević, Associate professor, won a scholarship for the International Summer Piano School, which was held from 15th to 25th August, 2025 in Grožnjan (Croatia). During the school, he attended master classes with renowned pianists Katarina Krpan, Janiz Potamuzis, Konstantin Krasnicki, Francesca Vidal and Aleksandar Serdar. In addition, Djordjević performed at concerts in Sokoj and Kaštel concert halls, where he performed works by J. S. Bach and L. van Beethoven.
Stefan Dimitrijević wins at International Competition in Italy
At XX International Competition in San Vincenzo (Italy) held from 8th to 10th August, MAS student Stefan Dimitrijević in the class of Prof. MA Miljan Bjeletić won in the concert category. The competitors were judged by a twelve-member international jury. Stefan Dimitrijević received an invitation to play a solo concert next year as part of the Festival held in the same city biennially.
Participation of Sara Stolić, a fourth-year year student of the Department of Music Theory, in the project “Creative vibes – Musical cooperation of young people from the Western Balkans”
Sara Stolić, a fourth-year year student of undergraduate academic studies, Department of Music Theory, participated in the project Creative vibes – Musical cooperation of young people from the Western Balkans, where she made a notable performance, premiering her original composition Majko. The central activities of the Creative vibes project, which brings together young musicians from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia, were implemented from 20th to 27th July 2025 in the creative atmosphere of the Petnica Research Station in Valjevo, under the auspices of the Western Balkans Fund (WBF). This regional project aims to open up space for creative exchange of knowledge and joint artistic creation of young musicians from the Western Balkans through networking and cross-border cooperation.
Participation of students of the Department of Applied Arts in the Youth Exchange in the field of arts between China and Serbia in 2025
As part of the Youth Exchange in the Field of Arts between China and Serbia, an Exhibition of Fine and Applied Arts was opened at the Chinese Cultural Center in Belgrade on 14th July 2025. Among the selected young artists from both countries, students from the Department of Applied Arts of the Faculty of Arts in Niš also presented their creativity and talent: Ana Milenković, Sara Stojanović, Jovana Milojević, Minja Djordjević, Ana Mitrović, Danica Ćirić, Isidora Očaj, Katarina Radujevčanovic and Tamara Jocić. The exhibited student works were created within the courses Poster under the mentorship of DA Miljana Radenkovic, assistant professor and DA Jovana Nikolić, assistant professor with a doctorate, as well as within the course Spatial Graphics, under the mentorship of Sanja Dević, associate professor, and Jefimija Stoičić, assistant professor, DA.
After the successful implementation of the exhibition of fine and applied arts at the Chinese Cultural Center in Belgrade, on July 14, 2025, the Faculty also received a certificate for student participation.
Participation of Andrijana Živković, a fourth-year piano student, at Summer Music School in Lausanne
Andrijana Živković, a fourth-year student of the undergraduate academic piano studies at the Faculty of Arts in Niš (class of MA Jovanka Arandjelović, full professor), was an active participant in the masterclass of pianists Nina Sofronski and Ersilia Marcello as part of Summer Music School in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Seventeen-year-old Sara Hristov, a third-year violin student at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, the youngest student in the class of prof. MA Marija Rajković, has been selected to perform as a student performer at I Chamber Music Academy in Heiligenberg 2025.
Participation of the Faculty of Arts in Niš students at the Kids Street Art event
On Saturday, 14th June 2025, for the first time, an event dedicated to street art “Kids Street Art” was held, organized by the Children’s Cultural and Recreational Center in Niš. Young artists, including students from the Faculty of Arts in Niš, beautified the Čair Park and left a recognizable mark on the concrete, creating a three-dimensional illusion of motifs from the video game Minecraft. The workshop of the same name was interesting for children and their creative expression in the spirit of the street art movement. In this way, the young artists put the city of Niš on the map of European cities that pay special attention to street art.

We are pleased to invite you to the ceremonial opening of the exhibition and concert of the Faculty of Arts in Niš students, united under the name Awarded, on Tuesday, 17th June 2025 at 7 pm, in the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš Concert – Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition presents the works of awarded students of the Department of Applied Arts and the Department of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, and is organized in cooperation with the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Niš Branch.
