In 3rd-year basic academic studies at the Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, students of Graphic Design in the Graphic Communication course deal with the stylization of form in the service of visual transmission of messages about poaching, exploitation of animals and the destruction of their environment by humans. Mutual studious activity and commitment of students and their mentors Assoc. prof. Anita Milić and Assist. DA Miljana Radenković, are reflected in the works presented at the exhibition with the symbolic name STOP!, the third in a row, organized in cooperation with Niš Cultural Center Gallery.

Through creative and thoughtful placement of socially engaged messages, students demonstrate their talent, individuality and skills, which confirm their readiness to solve complex graphic design tasks. All awarded and selected posters will be printed for the purpose of organizing exhibitions and creating health education materials. The time and place of the exhibition will be announced later.

The Faculty of Arts at the Career Guidance and Counseling Fair at the Art School in Niš
On 30th November 2023, the fourth career guidance and counseling fair was held at the Art School, organized by the school administration and the Career Guidance and Counseling Team. The goal of the fair is to gather faculty with professional study programs, which are related to the educational profiles of the Art School, and present them to our students. This type of gathering provides an opportunity for students to become more familiar with their areas of interest. The Faculty of Arts in Niš was represented by DA Jefimija Stojičić, Assoc. prof, Marta Pejčić, teaching associate and Marija Tatić, the Department of Applied Arts student, with the technical support of Dejan Krasić from the Faculty’s Computer Center. The Faculty’s stand was enriched with printed editions and catalogs from the Faculty’s thematic exhibitions, as well as specially designed prospectuses with the recognizable slogan: “Art for the future”, as well as on the video beam a promotional video material created by DA Jefimija Stojičić, Assoc. prof.
Faculty of Arts at the Innovation Forum Italy – Serbia
As part of the interstate Italy-Serbia Investment Forum, which was held in Belgrade on 6th December 2023, the teachers and associates of the Department of Solo Singing Katarina Simonović – Ivanković, Saša Arsenkov, Marko Milisavljević and Anita Stankovic introduced themselves with an exceptional performance at the Residence of the Italian Embassy.

Exhibition of student drawings and works within the project “Touch-See-Feel” by DA Beata Kotecka in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Hall
Exhibition of drawings and sculptures “Touch – see – feel” by the Faculty of Arts in Niš students, Department of Fine Arts, togetrher with students of the University “Adam Mickiewicz” from Poznań, Poland, Beira University in Kovilja, Portugal, the Jordanian University of Amman, Jordan, Nahda University in Egypt will be opened on 1st December 2023 at 1 pm, in the Art School Hall on IV floor, in the Faculty of Arts in Niš premises.
The “Touch-See-Feel” project included two phases: making sketches/conceptual drawings and transposing the two-dimensional representation into a three-dimensional sculpting technique. The given framework implied that universal concepts have a similar visual interpretation in cultures with different local artistic traditions. The project goal was to determine the correlation of cultural heritage with artistic practice among students of art faculties.
The project author, DA Beata Kotecka, full prof. of the Pedagogical Faculty of Art in Kalisz, University “Adam Mickiewicz” from Poznań, Poland, realized a sculpting art workshop in which the Faculty of Arts in Niš students participated. The resulting sculptures will be exhibited alongside prints of student works from Poland, Portugal, Jordan and Egypt.
The project “Touch – see – feel” – integrated development program of the University “Adam Mickiewicz” in Poznań, Poland “UNIVERSITY OF TOMORROW II”, was co-financed by the European Union within the Operational Program of the European Social Fund Development of Education with Knowledge.
