Independent exhibition of drawings and sculptures “Enigma” and presentation of the project “Touch-See-Feel” by DA Beata Kotecka in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert-Exhibition Hall

 

Independent exhibition of drawings and sculptures “Enigma” by DA Beata Kotecka, full prof. of the Pedagogical Faculty of Arts in Kalisz, “Adam Mickiewicz” University from Poznań, Poland will be opened on 29th November 2023 at 6 pm, in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert-Exhibition Hall.

After the exhibition opening, prof. Kotecka will hold a presentation of the “Touch-see-feel” project at 6:30 pm.

Awards to our students at 25th International Competition of Solo Singers “Nikola Cvejić”

 

At the jubilee 25th International Competition of Solo Singer “Nikola Cvejić” in Ruma, from 24th to 25th November 2023, the Faculty of Arts in Niš students and alumni in the class of prof. Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, participated.

The most complex competition for solo singers of lower, high music schools and faculties is certainly “Nikola Cvejić” competition. It bears the name of the Serbian opera scene and pedagogy giant. It was founded by his students in 1997 and every year it gathers a large number of pupils, students and professors of music schools and faculties from the whole region, thus creating a unique space for observing the development of the vocal profession at all levels. The competition gives to young artists- in addition to the opportunity to hear a lot of new things, evaluation and present their levels of achievement- an opportunity to receive one of the numerous valuable prizes that further motivate them.

This year too, our Faculty solo singing students, our young hopes, returned from Ruma with prizes and valuable experience:

Luka Marković, III year student – I prize, 97 points (II category) and

Nikola Stamenković, IV year student. – II prize, 90.25 points (III category).

The special feature of this competition is the laureates’ concert, at which all previous laureates performed, including Faculty alumni Nikola Mikić, who at the time of winning this award (in 2014) was also in the class of prof. Katarina Simonović Ivanković.

Exhibition and concert dedicated to artists Čedomir Krstić and Petar Konjović at the Faculty of Arts in Niš

As part of the Faculty of Arts in Niš project, Contemporary Europe in the spirit of Serbian art by Čedomir Krstić and Petar Konjović, and on the occasion of celebrating the artist’s birth anniversary, on 29th November 2023 at 1 pm, in the Faculty premises (Kneginje Ljubice 10 st), an exhibition and concert dedicated to artists will be held.

The exhibition is accompanied by an exhibition of original paintings by Čedomir Krstić, from the collection of DMV company and gallery from Niš, as well as a printed and multimedia presentation of both artists, biographical and creative journey of. The exhibition originality, in addition to the artist,s original paintings, certainly represents the first public display of the legacy of Petar Konjović, which is located in the City Library “Karlo Bijelicki” in Sombor, but also the first complete annals and icon paintings display of the Holy Prophet lija Temple in Niška Spa, by the painter Čedomir Krstić. The exhibition is accompanied by a concert program of solo singing students. The exhibition is opened by an honored guest from Italy, painter Čedomir Krstić,s daughter , Anita Krstić.

Performance of the Faculty of Arts in Niš chamber orchestra “Concertante” on RTS

The Faculty of Arts in Niš chamber orchestra “Concertante”, under the conductorship of prof. DMA Milena Injac and soloists prof. Jovan Bogosavljević, MA and prof. Marija Rajković, MA, appeared in the show “I love classic” hosted and edited by Silvana Grujić and Aleksandar Peković, which was broadcast on Sunday, 19th November 2023 at 9 pm on RTS second channel. Our Faculty students and their professors presented the Faculty of Arts in an exceptional way.

Concert for two pianos accompanied by the Faculty string orchestra and the string quartet “Perdendosi” participation

On Friday 17.11.2023. at 7 pm, a concert for two pianos will be held with the accompaniment of the Faculty string orchestra and the participation of the “Perdendosi” string quartet. MA Milena Rajković and Marta Kržič (Ljubljana) will perform as soloists on two pianos, the concert will be conducted by Ivan Djačić, teaching assistant, while the guests of the concert will be the string quartet “Perdendosi” in the class of prof. MA Aleksandar Jakovljević, consisting of: Aleksa Spasić, violin, Tijana Filipović, violin, Andjela Dugonjić, viola and Nenad Ilić, double bass. The Faculty of Arts string orchestra Concertmaster is Milica Mitrović. The program includes works by Clementi, Mozart and Borodin.

Faculty of Arts at the Erasmus mixed intensive program “Tradition and Modernity – Digital Transformations” in Veliki Tarnovo  

 

The Faculty of Arts in Niš had the opportunity to participate in the mixed Erasmus intensive program “Tradition and Modernity – Digital Transformations” organized at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Veliko Tarnovo from 23th to 27th October 2023.

The Faculty team was made up of five students: Jana Novaković, Andrijana Jovanović, Danica Ćirić, Irena Tasić and Ksenija Stanković, led by Assoc. prof. Sanja Dević.

The project “Tradition and Modernity – Digital Transformations” aimed to create a bridge between tradition and modernity, revive classic craft techniques and transform them into a modern medium of expression.

In addition to the organizers, students and teachers from the Warsaw School of Information Technologies Warsaw from Poland, Polytechnic Institute Branco, Castelo Branco from Portugal and the Faculty of Arts in Kosovska Mitrovica of the University of Priština participated in the project.

The head of the project is Dr. Krasimira Borisova Drumeva. Workshop leaders: PhD Anastasija Tonkova, PhD Biljana Canova, PhD Radimira Jordanova, PhD Simeon Želev, PhD Velina Staleva and PhD Plamen Kondov.

In 2024, it is planned to present the works created at workshops, trainings, as well as after the training, in their own digital version of all authors. The exhibitions will be shown at all partner universities – Instituto Politecnico De Castelo Branco, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, University of Priština in Kosovska Mitrovica and Warsaw School of Information Technologies.

 

Concert by Antonio Šarić, a young virtuoso violinist from Mostar, with the piano accompaniment of Mina Krasić as part of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert Season 2023/2024

Antonio Šarić, a virtuoso young violinist from Mostar, with the piano accompaniment of pianist Mina Krasić, will hold an all-evening concert in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert Hall on 6th November 2023, at 7 pm. The concert is realized as part of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert Season 2023/2024. The audience will be presented with works by Fjoril, Mendelssohn, Rhys, Krejma and Martinu. The third-year student of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Lazar Mutavdžić, will perform as a concert guest.

“Works on paper II” – the Faculty of Arts in Niš exhibition of teachers and associates in the “Rafael Mihailov” Gallery, University of “St. Cyril and St. Metodius” in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria

The exhibition “Works on Paper II” in the city Gallery “Rafael Mihailov” in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, includes 64 works on paper by 25 authors and represents a cross-section of the current creativity of the Department of Fine Arts teachers and the Department of Applied Arts teachers and associates.

This manifestation represents the continuation of the long-standing successful cooperation between the University of Niš, the Faculty of Arts in Niš and the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and St. Methodius”, Faculty of Fine Arts.

The exhibition was opened on 17th October 2023, in the presence of numerous guests, by prof. PhD Svetoslav Kosev, dean and prof. PhD Vladimir Avramov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Veliko Tarnovo. The introductory speech about the exhibition was given by prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA, vice dean for quality and international cooperation and Assoc. prof. Vladan Randjelović, MA, from the Faculty of Arts in Niš, University of Niš.

The public will be able to visit the exhibition until 29th October 2023.
