After the success in Portugal, at the recently held 18th International Accordion Competition in Murska Sobota (Slovenia), fourth-year student Stefan Dimitrijević in the class of prof. Miljan Bjeletić, MA, won in the oldest category. Also, Veljko Jović won I prize. Stefan Dimitrijević was invited by the organizers to play a solo concert in Murska Sobota the next year.
Jovana Vojinović as laureate of VII category of “V International Competition of Young Musicians” in Zemun
Jovana Vojinović, fourth-year flute student, UAS in the class of DMA Jelena Jakovljević, Assoc. prof, is the laureate of VII category at V international competition of young musicians – Zemun. She performed at the competition with her piano accompanist Nikola Cvetković.
II prize to Kristina Mančić at V international competition of young musicians in Zemun
Kristina Mančić, third-year flute student, UAS in the class of DMA Jelena Jakovljević, won II prize in VII category at V international competition of young musicians in Zemun. Along with her, the entire competition program was performed by piano accompanist Nikola Cvetković.
I prize for chamber music students at XI International Piano Competition ULJUS
Another I prize went to the chamber ensemble “Musique per trois” in the class of prof. Anqa Veličković Igić, consisting of Jovana Blagojević-flute, Ilija Jovanović-cello and Vasilije Glavašević-piano. This time, success was achieved at XI international piano competition ULJUS 2024, where they competed as the youngest ensemble in V category-Chamber Music.
Three different international competitions and three I prizes, that’s the score of this team that just finished the first year of undergraduate studies.

The concert presentation of the CD audio edition of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš “Solo songs by Milan Prebanda” was held on 6th July 2024 in the City Hall and was organized as part of 29th International Choral Festival (NKC). The CD was recorded by the professors of the Faculty of Arts in Niš: Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, full prof. – soprano and MA Jelena Deljanin Aleksić, Assist. prof – the piano.

Concert “Evening of arias, duets and choirs from operas” on the occasion of the official opening of 29th International Choir Festival “Sparkling Voices”
At the gala concert “An Evening of Arias, Duets and Choirs from the Opera” on the occasion of the opening of 29th International Choir Festival “Sparkling Voices”, 4th July 2024, on the Summer Stage of Niš Fortress, professors of solo singing from the Faculty of Arts in Niš performed as soloists: Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA full prof. – soprano and MA Saša Arsenkov, Assoc. prof-tenor, as well as students Hadži Lazar Lazarević, IV year-baritone and Nikola Stamenković, IV year – tenor, in the class of prof. Katarina Simonović Ivanković.
The conductor at the concert was prof. Bisera Čadlovska from North Macedonia.
The orchestra consisted of students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, students of the Faculty of Music in Skopje and prominent musicians of the city of Niš.
The festival choir that performed was made up of members of several Nis choirs: the “Maestrini” Choir (students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš), the “Radojica Milisavljević – Ica” Youth Choir (Niš Music School choir) and the Niš Chamber Choir.
The program included works by: G. Busset, G. Verdi, A. Dvoržak, F. Lehara and G. Puccini.
Jelena Malikov and Mila Knežević, participants of XVII Graphic Workshop “Sofia” – Bogdanci, North Macedonia 2024
Jelena Malikov and Mila Knežević, fourth-year students at the Department of Fine Arts, participated in the work of XVII Graphics Colony “Sofija” in Bogdanci, North Macedonia. This year’s colony brought together young and talented creators from art faculties and academies from Zagreb, Sarajevo, Novi Sad, Skopje and Niš. In the period from 20th to 28th August, they created their works in various graphic techniques under the mentorship of Iva Čurić, assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.
Anastasija Milićević, winner of III prize at competition “Graduates 2024” of DOTS Gallery in Belgrade
Anastasija Milićević, a fourth-year student of undergraduate studies at the Department of Fine Arts in the class of prof. Bratislav Bašić, is one of twenty-five authors whose works were selected at this year’s competition “Graduates” of DOTS Gallery, intended for young artists up to the age of 30 who in 2024 have completed undergraduate or master studies.
The Gallery team awarded three prizes, III of which went to Anastasija Milićević for the work “Grandfather Moša vari auspuh”, performed in the thread embroidery technique on canvas.
The selected and awarded works are exhibited in DOTS Gallery in Belgrade from 12th July to 7th September 2024.

We supported art in Niš and got a new megaboard in the city center – the work of Ksenija Stanković, a student of the Master academic studies of the Department of Applied Arts
Inspired by a four-day visit to Italy, organized by the “Birra Moretti” brand, where our students of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš got to know the culture, architecture and spirit of this Mediterranean people, created memories for a lifetime and created quality works of art. At the completed art competition We create art inspired by Italy, the aforementioned campaign, based on the number of votes received and with the jury help, the work of Ksenija Stanković, a student of Master academic studies, Department of Applied Arts, got its place on the megaboard that adorns the center of Niš. We congratulate Ksenia on her success and wish her good luck in her future work!

For the fourth time, the collective exhibition of graphic design student works of the Faculty of Arts in Niš communicates with other universities of arts, cultural institutions and the general public in Happy Gallery of Student Cultural Center in Belgrade. Now, when the Department of Applied Arts has built its identity on the Belgrade art scene with the visual rhetoric to identity exhibition, it is performing with the exhibition IDENTITY OF BOOKS AND POSTERS.
Carefully selected and applied colors, lettering and typography, logos, messages and illustrations reflect the individuality of the students exhibiting their work. Those are: Katarina Radujevčanović, Djordje Marković, Ilija Dinčić, Isidora Očaj, Saša Branković, Tamara Jocić
