Exhibition of drawings by students of art faculties from Niš, Skopje, Jedren and Sarajevo in the “Mimar Kenaledin” Art Gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Trakya University in Jedren, Turkey

At the exhibition “Four Countries – Four Universities: International Plastic Arts Exhibition” in the Art Gallery “Mimar Kenaledin” of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Trakya University from Edirne, Turkey, works on paper by students of the Faculty of Arts in Nis, the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, North Macedonia, Faculty of Fine Arts in Jedren, Turkey and the Academy of Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina are exhibited.

The project was realized through the academic cooperation of Katarina Djordjević, MA full prof. of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, University of Niš, PhD Fehim Husković and PhD Slavica Janešlijeva from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, North Macedonia, PhD Melihat Tuzun, dean and prof. Ayhan Cetina, PhD, coordinator from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Trakya University from Edirne, Turkey and Assist. prof. PhD Danis Fejzić from the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Sarajevo.

The exhibition was opened by prof. PhD Erhan Tabakolou, rector of Trakya University and PhD Melihat Tuzun, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Jedren in the presence of large audience and distinguished guests – prof. PhD Gerhard Jager, rector and prof. PhD Gustav Manfred Raupa, former rector of German Lorach Baden-Württemberg State University, prof. PhD Osman Nuri Hatipolou, vice-rector of Trakya University, prof. PhD Johannes Kerna, vice-dean of the State University of the Baden-Württemberg cooperative, PhD Fehim Husković and Assist. prof. Valentina Stefanovska from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of “St. Cyrill and Methodius” from Skopje, North Macedonia.

The Faculty of Arts in Niš was represented by the students of the study program of undergraduate and master academic studies in Painting:

– Uroš Milinčić, Saška Mladenović, Dunja Branković and Ana Veličković, students of III year, Aleksandra Milutinović and Jovana Petrović, students of IV year, Nikola Milanov and Ljubica Nedeljković, master students – course teacher PhD, Nikola Marković, Assoc. professor;

– Maja Petković and Milica Anđelković, third-year students, Lola Vučković and Mila Knežević, fourth-year students and Aleksa Badnjar, master’s student – subject teacher Ph.D. Jelena Trajković Popivoda, Assoc. prof;

– Jovana Marković, III year student, Anastasija Milićević, Miljana Dimitrijević and Jelena Malikov, fourth-year student – course teacher MA Jelena Kitić, Assoc. professor.

The exhibition was opened on 16th April and will last until 16th May 2024.

The project “Four Countries – Four Universities: International Plastic Arts Exhibition” will be realized in galleries in Skopje and Niš by the end of the calendar year, and in Sarajevo at the beginning of 2025.

Remarkable success of solo singing students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš at XII International Singing Competition “Lav Mirski” in Osijek, Croatia

XII International Singing Competition “Lav Mirski” was held in Osijek, Croatia, in the organization of AUK – Department of Musical Arts of the Academy of Arts and Culture. The competition has been held continuously since 2013 gathering the best singers from the region. Singers from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, China and South Korea performed this year.

Students from the Department of Solo Singing, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, achieved the following results:

Class of Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, full prof.

Luka Marković, I prize, II category (tenor),

Hadži Lazar Lazarević III award, V category (baritone),

Class MA Saša Arsenkov Assoc. prof.

Milana Andrašević II prize, IV category (soprano).

Exhibition “EVENING ACT”

The continuous cooperation between the Faculty of Arts in Niš and the institution Niš Cultural Center in Niš is being celebrated again this year by the joint student exhibition “Evening Act”. The exhibition indicates special approaches to drawing, the attitude of students towards drawing, reveals their reflections and different ways of realizing drawings through different drawing techniques. A selection of works that presents the real state of current artistic student production was presented. He points to the enthusiasm of young creators, their dynamism and wealth of ideas. 32 students of the Visual and Applied arts Department, of II, III and IV year, mentored by Vladan Randjelović, presented themselves at the exhibition.

Great success of violin students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš at competitions in Tuzla and Niš

Violin students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš achieved great success at the competition in Tuzla – “Simfonia di Sale” where Aleksa Spasić won a special prize and laureate in his category, and at the string competition in Niš where all four representatives of the Faculty of Arts in Niš students won I prizes: Sara Hristov, Lazar Mutavdžić, Stefani Radinska and Milana Trujanović. on this occasion, we owe special thanks to piano accompanists Mina Krasić and Bojan Mladenović, an outstanding support to the young contestants. The violin students are in the classes of prof. Marija Rajković and prof. Jovan Bogosavljević.

Great success of accordion students at 47th International Meeting of Accordionists in Pula

At 47th International Meeting of Accordionists held from 7th to 10th May in Pula (Croatia), students in the classes of prof. MA Miljan Bjeletić and prof. Nikola Peković won five I prizes. This competition is one of the most prestigious accordion competitions.

In the two-stage student category, CONCERTIST Marija Ratkov, a fourth-year student at UAS, won I-4 award with 91.70 points (class: Nikola Peković)

In the one-stage student category F, in the competition of 37 competitors, Stefan Dimitrijević, a fourth-year student at UAS, won I prize with 96.43 points (class: MA Miljan Bjeletić); Petar Bešović, a fourth-year student at UAS, won I-9 prize with 93.52 points (class: Nikola Peković); Nemanja Čamagić, a third-year student at UAS won the I-13 award with 92.97 points (class: Nikola Peković) and Veljko Jović, a second-year student at UAS won I-18 award with 91.97 points (class: MA Miljan Bjeletić).

GRAPHICS by Graphic design students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš

In the gallery of Leskovac Cultural Center on Tuesday, 16th April  at 7 pm, the exhibition “GRAPHICS of Graphic design students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš” was opened. The exhibition presents the works of students who attend the course Graphics as a compulsory and optional subject under mentorship of prof. Bojan Živić and DA Assistant Jovana Djordjević.

50 young authors whose works show authenticity in artistic and technical approach are represented. This type of collective exhibition enables the first exhibition experiences of young artists/designers helping with affirmation and motivation for further work. The exhibition is open until 7th May.

At this year’s traditional exhibition “May Print Exhibition” held at Graphic collective Gallery in Belgrade, the selection was pass by UAS painting students Dunja Branković, Jelena Malikov, Aleksandra Milutinović, Martina Momčilović, Jovana Petrović, as well as by full prof. Slobodan Radojković, full prof. Bojan Živić, full prof. Slavica Dragosavac, Assoc. prof. Jelena Trajković Popivoda, and DA Assistant Jovana Djordjević.
