Gergana Manova, assistant at the course of Wall painting at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Professor Assen Diamandiev” from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, during the training realized within the Erasmus+ program for teacher mobility, stayed at the Faculty of Arts in Niš from 10th to 12th April 2024. As part of the two-day training program, Asst. Gergana Manova attended a class on Wall Painting and was familiar with the process of making mosaics using the direct technique, as well as the materials that can be used. The training was led by Assist. prof. Maja Djurović. On this occasion, a visit was organized by students of II, III and IV year of undergraduate academic studies from Wall painting Department of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Professor Assen Diamandiev”, who visited painting classes, graphic workshops Wall painting workshop at the Faculty of Arts.
Posters by Vera Nikolić and Nadja Stanisavljević at the design forum exhibition “FLUID – Regional Awards for Young Designers 2024” in Montenegro
The posters of Vera Nikolić, a fourth-year student, and Nadja Stanisavljević, a master student at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Department of Applied Arts, were selected for the international design forum exhibition “FLUID – Regional Awards for Young Designers 2024” in Montenegro. The jury consisting of: Mirko Ilić (USA), Borut Vild (Serbia), Dejan Kršić (Croatia), Nikola Bada Radonjić and Ana Matić (Montenegro) selected 39 posters for the exhibition out of a total of 254, by authors from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina , Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo and Albania.
The exhibition of selected works will be organized within the program segment “FLUID Expo – FLUID design forum 12/2024”, and the opening will be held on 19th April 2024 at noon, in the gallery “C2”, Faculty of Fine Arts, Cetinje, when the names of three award-winning authors will also be announced.

The Faculty Orchestra celebrated 20 years
Under the conductorship of prof. DA Milena Injac, the jubilee concert of the Faculty of Arts Orchestra and Friends was held. This concert marked the beginning of cooperation with the Faculty of Music in Skopje, with the presence of the dean, composer, prof. Daria Andovska, MA. The students of FMA in Skopje made up the Orchestra brass section, supported by a student and assist. prof. Ivan Blagojević from the Faculty of Arts in Kosovska Mitrovica. The orchestra owes its thanks to its constant collaborators, Vladimir Vezenković, a multy-year solo oboist of NSO, as well as alumni Sofija Stajić and assist. prof. Milan Stajić, MA. Works by Fauré, Borodin, Shostakovich, Hinastera, Anderson and Marquez were performed. The orchestra played two „encores“, and the contribution from the concert went to humanitarian purposes for the treatment of an alumna, violinist Jana Mitić. The Orchestra would like to thank SASA Branch in Niš for cooperation in organizing the concert. The day before, the Orchestra held a concert in Aleksinac organized by the Cultural Center, when the concert was also humanitarian for Roman Šarenac, a boy from Aleksinac.
Exhibition “Graphics and Drawing”
The continuous cooperation of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Arts in Niš and course teachers is being celebrated again this year with the joint student exhibition “Graphics and Drawing”. The exhibition points to special approaches to graphics and drawing, to the students attitude towards the graphic medium, revealing their reflections and different ways of realizing graphics and drawings . A selection of works that presents the real state of current artistic student production is presented. It points to the enthusiasm of young creators, their dynamism, richness of ideas and the essential conditioning of graphics and drawings in the displayed works.
First prize to Damir Blagojević, a master’s student at the Naisus guitar festival
A master student of academic guitar studies Damir Blagojević in the class of prof. Miloš Janjić, MA, won I prize (93 points) in VII category at the competition within the “Naisus” guitar festival in Niš, held from 12th -14th April 2024.

At Belgrade Accordion Festival held on 7th April in Belgrade, students in the class of prof. Nikola Peković won three I prizes in the category without age limit (student category).
