Concert of Filip Cincarević, Strahinja Marković, Nikola Pavlović, Bratislava Djordjević and Petar Pavlović in Belgrade

Filip Cincarević (III year), Strahinja Marković (I year), Nikola Pavlović (master student), Bratislav Djordjević (I year) and Petar Pavlović (I year) performed at the concert of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš students, in the class of Stevan Spalević, PhD, Assoc. prof. on 13th February 2023 in the “Artget” Gallery in Belgrade, organized by Belgrade Cultural Center. The program included works by J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, F. Chopin, S. Rachmaninov and O. Messianic.

The success of the Department of Applied Arts students at the prize competition of the Institute for Public Health of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”

At the prize competition for a poster by art faculties students, with the topic of prevention of the use of tobacco and nicotine products, of the Institute for Public Health of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”, the Department of Applied Arts students won four additional awards and seven participations in the final exhibition.

The posters of the Department of Applied Arts students, Petar Pejić, Danica Ćirić, Ksenija Stanković and Tamara Terentić, the third and fourth year students and master students, won additional awards at the competition of the Institute for Public Health of Serbia, while the posters of students: Vera Nikolić, Jana Novaković, Andrijana Jovanović, Marija Milosavljević, Marta Pejčić, Sara Stojanović and Jovana Milojević were included in the exhibition official selection.

The poster competition was announced by the Office for Smoking Prevention at the Center for Health Promotion of the Institute for Public Health of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”, for students of artistic higher education institutions, on the topic of prevention of the use of tobacco and nicotine products. Posters by the Applied Arts Department students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš will be exhibited as part of the award-winning and selected works of students of art faculties in Serbia.

The “ACADEMY MEETINGS” project was held in the period from 25th – 27th December 2022 in Kragujevac, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, at the initiative of prof. MA Vojislav Spasić and the organization of the associations: “Prestonica” (Capital), “Telok” and the association “Archangels” from Kragujevac.

The meeting of the Art Academies, Faculties of Musical Arts, of the Universities of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro a nd Slovenia started with a meeting (round table) in the Rectorate of the University of Kragujevac, where all professors presented themselves to the rector of the University of Kragujevac, prof. PhD Nenad Filipović. The first project of this type in our region was successfully implemented. The project aimed to create cooperation with higher education institutions from the former Yugoslavia area, as well as respective professors and students.

Possibilities of launching various initiatives and progress in this area as well as achieving mutual cooperation were discussed.

As part of this project, professors Saša Arsenkov, MA, Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, Berislav Jerković, PhD, Milica Stojadinović, PhD, Senka Nedeljković, PhD, and Vojislav Spasić, MA, held master classes as well as a series of concerts and a round table in which the Music Academy students and soprano Anastasia Holtz took part. The topic of the round table was “Introduction and cooperation of solo singers”. In addition to lectures and concerts, Kragujevac audience was presented with a book by ethnomusicologist Trajče Malinov, MA.

The master classes and concerts were supported by piano accompanists Petar Marković and Boško Stojadinović. All concerts and courses were held in the “House of Djura Jakšić” gallery.

Exhibition of works by the Department of Applied Arts students entitled “Motivational quotes” in NKC Gallery

The exhibition of works by the Department of Applied Arts students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš entitled “Motivational quotes” will be opened in the Niš Cultural Center Gallery on 26th December 2022 at 5 p.m.

It has been proven that the best motivational slogans create emotions in the consumer society, and supported by visuals in commercials and advertising, remain in the user’s memory for a long time. For this reason, the third-year students of undergraduate academic studies at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Department of Applied Arts, deal with this issue through an assignment in the Graphic Communication course. Mutual studious activity and dedication in the work of students and their mentors Anita Milić and Miljana Radenković are reflected in the presentations shown at the exhibition “Motivational quotes”.

Twenty-two students: Andrijana Jovanović, Danica Ćirić, Elena Denda, Ilija Samac, Irena Tasić, Jana Novaković, Ksenija Stanković, Marija Milosavljević, Marko Cukavac, Nadja Stanisavljević, Nevena Ristić, Ana Mitrović, Anja Janković, Anja Naumović, Danica Stojanović, Lana Jovanović, Marija Tatić, Mateja Milošević, Mihailo Ećim, Petar Pejić, Sara Bogdanović and Vera Nikolić show their talent, insight, creative thinking and support their readiness to solve highly functional tasks of contemporary design practice.

Performance of our students at “A Fest” in Novi Sad

“A FEST” in Novi Sad hosted students from, as well as around the country, in Novi Sad, during 23rd November – 30th December 2022.

The Faculty of Arts in Niš was represented by Lazar Mutavdžić, a second-year violin student in the class of prof. Marija Rajković, with the piano acompaniment of Senka Simonović, DA and Drago Garić, a student of master academic studies in Accordion in the class of prof. Nikola Peković.

Students of the Solo Singing Department in the classes of Katarina Simonović Ivanković MA and Saša Arsenkov, MA achieved remarkable results at 24th International Competition of Solo Singers “Nikola Cvejić” in Ruma

At 24th International Competition of Solo Singers “Nikola Cvejić” in Ruma during 2th – 3th December 2022, the Faculty of Arts in Niš students participated in four categories.

Student Nikola Stamenković in the class of prof. MA Katarina Simonović Ivanković won I prize at IX International Competition of Solo Singers “Vera Kovač Vitkai”

At IX International Competition of Solo Singers “Vera Kovač Vitkai”, which took place at “Isidor Bajić” Music School in Novi Sad during 12th – 13th December 2022, the third-year student of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Nikola Stamenković, in the class of Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, Assoc. prof, won I prize (97.5 points) in II category and the special prize of the jury.

Participation of the Faculty of Arts in Niš in I creativity festival of art faculties in Serbia “Tricycle”

The Faculty of Arts in Niš participated in I creativity festival of art faculties students of Serbia “Tricycle”, held at the Faculty of Arts in Zvečan of the University of Priština (with temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica), under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia. Students, professors and guests of the festival had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the Faculty of Arts in Niš professors. During the festival opening day, on 8th December, the guest was prof. Zoran Ilić who performed a calligraphy performance with the piano accompaniment of Petar Ilić, the Faculty of Arts in Zvečan professor. During the second festival day, on 9th December, a piano music workshop was held by prof. Jovanka Arandjelović, MA. On the same day, the first day of the Creative mania workshop was held, with prof. Anita Milić and assistant DA Miljana Radenković in the graphic design studio, as well as the Mixed media workshop, which was designed and realized by prof. Andjela Mujičić from the Faculty of Arts in Zvečan, in cooperation with prof. Miroslav Živković, MA. The second day of the Creative mania and Mixed media workshops was successfully completed, and the workshops works were exhibited the following day at the festival closing.

At X “Serbian Solo Song” competition, which was held on 19th and 20th November 2022 in Mladenovac, the Faculty of Arts in Niš students participated in the fourth and fifth categories.

 

Three students of the Department of Solo Singing in the class of Saša Arsenkov, MA, Assistant prof, won the following awards:

Pavle Arandjelović, 2nd year student, won 1st prize in IV category (94 points),

Katarina Mihailović, 4th year student, won 3rd prize in V category (96.66 points),

Jelena Todorović, 4th year student, won 5th prize in V category (91.66 points).

Anđela Antić, 4th year student, won 2nd prize in V category (85 points).
