Announcement of the concerts of K2O Guitar Trio and Orchestra and soloists of the Faculty of Arts on the occasion of the University Day

The guitar trio K2O will hold a concert in the University of Niš Hall on Monday, 12th June 2023 at 7 pm. Program: classical music, Čolić, EKV, traditional. The entrance is free.

The Orchestra and soloists of the Faculty of Arts in Nis with the conductor Ivan Djačić will hold a concert on Wednesday, 14th June at 7 pm, in the Faculty Concert-Exhibition Hall, Knjaževačka 2a street.

The premiere of the opera “Na uranku” by Stanislav Binički on the National Theater stage, performed by the Faculty of Arts soloists and vocal ensemble

The opera “Na uranku” by Stanislav Binički, based on the libretto by Branislav Nušić, performed by the Faculty of Arts soloists and vocal ensemble will have its premiere the National Theater stage, on Wednesday, 7th June 2023, at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office of National Theater. The stage performance of the opera “Na uranku” is the doctoral artistic project of young director Jovana Solunović-Mitrović, a student of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade, under the mentorship of prof. Božidar Djurović and in the co-mentorship of PhD Nataša Nagorni Petrov. Jovana is the Faculty of Arts in Niš alumni. For this occasion, the music was processed and converted into original sound by Marko Pejčić, our Faculty alumni, and the title roles are played by Katarina Miḫailović, soprano, Damjan Mišić, tenor, Marko Milisavljević, baritone and prof. MA Aleksandra Ristić, mezzo-soprano, with the participation of the Faculty vocal ensemble consisting of students and alumni, directed by prof. Ivana Mirović, MA. The project is a co-production of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts and National Theater in Niš.

The victory of accordion student Veljko Milojković at competition in Montenegro

At XIII International Accordion Competition Ḫarmonika fest in Tivat (Montenegro), Veljko Milojković, an accordion master degree student in the class of prof. Miljan Bjeletić, MA, won within the student category. The contestants were evaluated by jury consisting of Dariusz Bažak (Przemyśl, Poland), Vasili Vasiliev (Moscow, Russia), Gintaras Mameniškis (Kaunas, Lithuania), Radomir Tomić (Kragujevac), Vojin Vasović (Kragujevac), Zoran Božanić (Belgrade), Miljan Bjeletić (Niš).

Aleksa Savić (I year), Katarina Bošković (IV year), Bratislav Djordjević (II year), Andjela Spasić (II year), Petar Pavlović (I year), Filip Cincarević (III year) and Straḫinja Marković (I year) performed at the concert of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš piano students in the class of DA Stevan Spalević, Assoc. prof. On 23rd May 2023, in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert-Exhibition Hall of, as part of the Faculty of Arts Concert season 2023. The program included works by J. Ḫaydn, V. A. Mozart, L. V. Beethoven, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, A. Scriabin, S. Rachmaninov and Andjela Spasić. The concert guest was Faculty of Arts cello student Andrija Kurtić (II year).

Damjan Stanković as laureate XVII Naissus Guitar Festival

Damjan Stanković, a guitar student in the class of prof. MA Miloš Janjić is the laureate of the international competition “Naissus Guitar Festival” on 18th -20th May 2023 in student categories. As a prize, he won a concert in Kystendil, Bulgaria at International Guitar Festival “Acad. Marin Goleminov” in 2024.

Lazar Mutavdžić performed as a soloist in Mostar

Lazar Mutavdžić, a second-year violin student in the class of Associate professor Marija Rajković, MA, represented Serbia and this year performed as a soloist accompanied by Mostar Symphony Orchestra in Mostar at the traditional international event “Young Talents”.
