Collective exhibition of works by the Department of Applied Arts students “Visual Rhetoric to Identity II” in Belgrade

The collective exhibition of works by students of the Faculty of Arts Department of Applied Arts in Niš entitled “Visual Rhetoric to Identity II” in the Happy Gallery of the Student Cultural Center in Belgrade was opened from 19th to 30th May 2022.

This exhibition, also an annual review of the most successful work of students of III and IV year of undergraduate academic studies, study program for Graphic Design, at the course of Graphic Communication, as the primary thematic settings of this project brings works by 20 students, namely: Ana Milenković, Jana Janić, Jovana Milojević, Marta Pejčić, Minja Djordjević, Nadežda Ristić, Sara Stojanović, Aleksandra Stanković, Andrijana Stanković, Kristina Djurdjević, Marko Tomić, Mila Teokarević, Paulina Aleksić, Sara Popović, Teodora Nikolić, Helena Milošević, Vasilije Injac, Jovana Djordjević, Mina Živić and Nebojša Stojković.

The course of Graphic Communication is being studied under the mentorship of Assoc. prof. Anita Milić and assistant DA Miljana Radenković at the Department of Applied Arts of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš.

16th traditional concert of students in the class of prof. Ana Veličković-Igić

Students in the class of full prof. Ana Veličković-Igić held the 16th traditional concert of chamber music.

Seven chamber ensembles performed in the full Niš Symphony Orchestra hall, and the program included works by Suk, Schober, Blanjini, Valkyrie, Schumann, Saint-Saens. The premiere composition “Dancing partners” for two flutes, by the English composer J.V. Barker was performed.

Presentation and workshop of prof. PhD Bisersa Valeva within the Erasmus+ teacher mobility

The Faculty of Arts in Niš, within the Erasmus+ teacher mobility, is organizing a presentation and workshop by prof. PhD Bisera Valeva, professor at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, at the Faculty of Educational Studies and Arts in Bulgaria.

The presentation and workshop “Signs by the Road” will be held on Thursday, 5th May 2022 at 5 pm, in the premises of the Faculty of Arts at the Art School, st. Prvomajska no 6.

A new issue of the magazine “Artefact” on the Faculty of Arts website

Artefact is an artistic-scientific-professional journal of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, which publishes scientific and professional papers in the field of music, art, applied and dramatic arts, philosophy, psychology, sociology, aesthetics, theory and history of art and anthropology, as well as pedagogical and psychological research in art and reviews of monographic publications. Just as artistic artifacts, metaphorically speaking, shape history and portray the past, so this magazine is intended for scientists, artists and educators and their exchange of knowledge, experiences and information through the medium of the written word.

The journal Artefact is designed as a form of communication that allows authors to revive their studies carefully planned, designed, methodologically and conceptually based research, and the very idea of ​​the journal is to rely on science to show and show all complex and diverse art forms within different societies and diverse historical moments. Hence the need for this journal, which aims to convey to the widest possible audience important new knowledge from a range of relevant scientific perspectives, publishing the results of scientific research and empirical experiences of reference authors. Our goal is to be interdisciplinary, encouraging dialogue with scientists working within the artistic, performative or humanistic domain, while providing researchers from different scientific traditions that have applied to art the opportunity to learn from each other. In short, our goal is to publish research from all those scientific perspectives and disciplines that can contribute to a better understanding of art. ” – Editorial Board

Lecture and exhibition by prof. PhD Izabela Rudzka within the Erasmus + teacher mobility

The Faculty of Arts in Niš, within the Erasmus + teacher mobility, is organizing a lecture and exhibition by prof. PhD Izabela Rudzka, professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts in Kalisz, Poland.

Lecture “Singularity of Space. Art as an Open Time Horizon”, will be held on Wednesday, 27th April 2022 at 6 pm, and the opening of the exhibition“ Space and Time in the Painting Depiction of History ”at 7.30 pm in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert – Exhibition Space, st. Knjaževačka 2a.
