Lectures by prof. Jonathan Blackkwood at the University of Niš within Erasmus + program

Prof. Jonathan Blackwood, from Robert Gordon University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, will stay within the Erasmus + program at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, from 13th to 17th May 2019. Prof. Blackwood will hold lectures on the topic “An Anatomy of the Contemporary Art World” and “Contemporary Curatorial Practices in the UK”, on Wednesday, 15th May 2019, at 2pm in the University of Niš Multimedia hall no. 8. On Thursday, 16th May 2019, he will hold a seminar on the organization of exhibitions, system, curatorial practices and funds, at the premises of the Department of Fine Arts in the Art School, at 11 am.

Participation of prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA in the work of the Symposium in Georgia Artistic Council

Katarina Djordjević, MA, full professor participated in “6th International Turkish Culture and Introduction of Art Symposium and Workshop” in Tbilisi, Georgia as a member of the Artistic Council. During the eight-day symposium, scientific and theoretical works were presented, an exhibition of works of art in the category of painting, drawing, graphics and sculptures was organized, and art workshops of traditional art crafts were held. The symposium sponsors and organizers were Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University and the Ministry of Culture of Georgia.

Nikola Peković performed as a soloist with Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra

Nikola Peković, Assistant professor, performed as a soloist with Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra in front of the full hall of the Roman Catholic cathedral at the “Easter concert” on 25th April 2019 in Zrenjanin. They presented the work of Sofia Gubaidulina “Seven Words” for accordion, cello and string orchestra. The soloist on the cello was Nemanja Stanković and the orchestra was conducted by maestro Mikica Jevtić.

Participation of Katarina Djordjević, MA at the Symposium in Turkey

Katarina Djordjević, MA, full professor, participated in “2nd International Yoruk Life, Culture and Turkish Arts Symposium” in Antalya, Turkey, as an Artistic Council member. During the four-day event, 90 participants from 20 countries and 20 universities, presented papers, an exhibition of art and applied arts was organized, as well as artistic workshops. Prof. Djordjevic presented the paper on the topic: “The Interpretation of an Visual Tradition: “Rencounter” Drawings” and presented pictures on the theme of artistic heritage in the Kizikule Gallery. As an Artistic Council member, she participated in the selection of artists works from 10 countries. The Proceedings will be promoted on 20th May 2019 in the premises of the Cultural Center of Antalya.
