Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, Associate professor, will participate in the work of the jury of the 17th International Solo Singer Competition “Lazar Jovanović”, which will be held from 23rd to 26th January 2020 at Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade.

A new issue of the scientific journal Facta Universitatis – Visual Arts and Music Vol. 5 No. 2 2019, with works in the field of music by authors from Slovenia and Serbia. The journal is available on the University of Niš website.

Ana Kazimić, DA, Assistasnt, has been selected by the commission of the Association of Composers of Serbia as a proposal to the ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) competition committee for the World New Music Days festival to be held in April 2020, at New Zealand, Auckland. In addition to being the only composer from Serbia at this festival, Ana will also be a delegate to the UKS (Association of Composers of Serbia) at the ISCM General Assembly meetings, which will take place during the festival in Auckland.

Slobodan Radojković, DA, Associate professor, has been admitted to the jury for the award of International Triennial of Contemporary Graphics 2020. This prestigious event will be held in Liege, Belgium, from 27^th May to 16^th August.

Anita Milić, Associate professor and Sanja Dević, MA, Assistant professor, participated in the work of the Jury of PRINT Award at 56th Niš Book Fair, held on 2nd-8th December 2019 at the Čair Sports Hall. Three PRINT awards are given for the aesthetic treatment of the book, the technological treatment of the book and the intemedial treatment of the book.

Miloš Mijatović, spec, Associate professor, at the invitation of conductor Elisabetta Fuchs and the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra, performed as the first clarinetist on an international tour in China called “Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra China Tour 2020” in honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of composer Ludwig van Beethoven.

At the ceremony on the final activities of the Action Plan for the Gender Equality Strategy of the City municipality Palilula Niš, the works of Stefana Jovanović, Aleksandra Ristić and Jelena Simić from the Department of Fine Arts, Natalija Djordjević, Teodora Nikolić and Mina Živić from the Department of Applied Arts were presented, with the aim of promoting and education on gender equality. Acknowledgments were given to the students as well as to the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, prof. Suzana Kostić, PhD, for supporting the implementation of the “Strategy for the Advancement of Gender Equality” by City municipality Palilula Niš in 2019.

The exhibition entitled “Mesaĝo” by students of the Department of Applied Arts will be opened at the Gallery of Niš Cultural Center in Niš, on Wednesday, 25^th December 2019 at 7 pm. The students of the fourth year of basic academic studies will present themselves with the works created within the subject Graphic communication, under the mentorship of Anita Milić, Associate professor and Miljana Radenković, Assistant at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.

Mina Mendelson, PhD, Associate professor, will hold a two-day master class on 23^rd Monday  and 24^th Tuesday on December 2019 at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka organized by the Department of String Instruments.
