The traditional concert ” Gift to the Ladies “, organized by the Faculty of Arts and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Branch of SASA in Niš, on the occasion of the opening of Concert Season 2020, will be held on Wednesday, 11^th March 2020, at 8 pm in the Faculty of arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a.

Katarina Zadnik, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Department of Music Pedagogy at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana, will be visiting the Erasmus + program at the Faculty of Arts in Niš on Wednesday, 4^th March 2020 in order to develop research in the field of music pedagogy and exchange of experiences at the academic level education. As part of the visit, she will give lectures in room no. 12 at the Faculty of Arts: Slovenian concept of music-school education and Creating music as a part of subject “Music Theory” in Slovenia.

Doc. Ksenija Milošević, MA, Assistant professor, performed as soloist with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, under the conductorship of Gregory Mayerhofer, on Friday, 21st February 2020 at Kolarac Endowment, performing Hristić’s “Symphony Fantasy”. The concert was opened by “The Sad Waltz” by Jean Sibelius, after Hrsitić’s piece the audience heard Schumann’s Manfred Overture, and Lucan Berio’s “Interpretation” from the “Brother Beethoven” cycle closed the program.

Stevan Spalević, Assistant professor, delivered a recital dedicated to 250^th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven at Kruševac Theater on 12^th February 2020. The program included sonatas op. 106 “Hammerclavier” and Op. 109 as well as the Bagatelle cycle op. 126 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Milena Rajković, MA, Assistant professor, delivered a solo concert on Thursday, 13^th February 2020 at the Belimarković Castle in Vrnjci Spa. She performed Sonata Op. 14 no. 2 by Ludwig van Beethoven and Leo Janacek’s cycle “On An Overgrown Path”.

Nemanja Egerić, an associate at the Faculty of Arts, gave a full-length concert with flutist Angelina Nikolić, an alumni of the Faculty of Arts, on Thursday, 6^th February 2020 at the SASA Gallery in Belgrade. The program included works by Bach, Carter, Messian, Varez and Schubert.

Kristijan Vučković, 2^nd-year piano student in the class of prof. Andrija Mamutović, performed as a soloist with Niš Symphony Orchestra under the conductorship of Svilen Simeonov on Thursday, 30^th January 2020 in Niš Symphony Orchestra Hall. The program featured Third concert by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Boris Pećanac, the first-year piano student in the class of Stevan Spalević, won III prize (86 points) at XVII International Competition “Davorin Jenko” held on 1^st February 2020 in Belgrade. Congratulations!

Mina Mendelson, DA, Associate professor will perform on Tuesday, 28^th January 27 2020, at a concert called “Portraits and Memories” (dedicated to the memory of Holocaust victims), as part of III Rossi Fest at the National Theater in Belgrade (stage Raša Plaović). Mina Mendelson – violin, Nikola Djurica – clarinet, Pavle Savić – cello and Vanja Šćepanović – piano will perform Quartet pour le fin du temps by Olivier Messiaen.

Mihailo Dašić, a guitar student in the class of prof. Vesna Petković, was awarded the Diploma to the best student in 2019 by the Faculty of Arts in Niš for exceptional success during his studies, which was presented to him by City Mayor Darko Bulatović at a ceremony at the City Hall.
