Tijana Borić, PhD Assistant professor, participated from September 4th-7th, 2019 at 14th International Biennial DDD Conference organized by ASDS bringing together numerous international multidisciplinary experts, researchers of the social context of death. This year, the theme of the conference was “Engagement and Education”, hosted by the University of Bath, England. The biennial gathering brought together about 130 international researchers and professors from 30 countries around the world who are actively engaged in promoting and studying the phenomenon of death in the arts, humanities and other related sciences. Tijana Borić, PhD successfully presented a paper entitled “The Political Economy of Death and the Concept of King’s Two Bodies: The Funeral of King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic I in 1934” which is the result of a collaboration with her colleague Dr. Igor Borozan, Associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.

Solo exhibition of Drawings, Graphics and Objects from the cycle “Sekura domo” by Slobodan Radojković, PhD Associate professor will be held on Thursday, September 19th, 2019 in the Small Art Salon of the National Museum in Kragujevac. The setting is part of a poetic whole considering the existence of the individual, the need to define our own home, and migration as our reality.

Miloš Pavlović, Belgrade pianist, will perform a piano recital on Monday, September 16th, 2019, at 7 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a. The program features pieces by Scarlatti, Haydn and Rachmaninoff. The entrance to the concert is free.

In the context of the great celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Graphic Collective, on September 5th, 2019 at 8pm, the exhibition What is Graphics Today? will be open in the Art Gallery of Belgrade Cultural Center. During September, the works of Vladimir Milanović, Jelena Sredanović, Maja Simić and Slavica Dragosavac, MA, full professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, can be seen.

Exhibition “INTRO” by Miljana Radenković, PhD Assistant at the Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, was opened on August 9th, 2019 at 6 pm, at the Gallery of the Horeum Margi-Ravno Museum in Ćuprija.

Andjela Bratić, MA, full professor performed as a soloist with the chamber ensemble “Amoroso” from Leskovac at the opening of the 36th International Festival “Music Days” in Herceg Novi. She held a concert of contemporary Serbian music as a member of the chamber ensemble “Chamber Band” at the same festival.

On Thursday, August 29th, at 8 pm, a solo exhibition of graphic design works, of Sanja Dević, Assistant professor, entitled “A Book in Miniature” will be opened. The exhibition includes a series of twelve handmade miniature books. The exhibition will last until September 18th, 2019.
