Bisera Veljković, MA, Associate professor, held a solo concert in the Hall of the Conservatory “Richard Wagner” in Vienna on Wednesday, 26th June 2019. The program included pieces by C. Frank, L. van Beethoven and F. Mendelssohn.
Nemanja Egerić held solo concerts in Belgrade and East Sarajevo
Nemanja Egerić, MAS, Associate at the Faculty of Arts, held full-length concerts at the SASA Gallery in Belgrade on 24th June 2019 and in the hall of Music Academy in East Sarajevo on 26th June 2019. The program included the first eleven pieces from the cycle “Vingt Regards sur l’enfant-Jésus” by Olivier Messian.
Concert of Jelena Jakoviljević and Stevan Spalević at “Filip Days” festival
Jelena Jakovljević, Assistant professor, flute and Stevan Spalević, Assistant professor, piano, held a concert at IV Festival “Filip Days” at the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert Showroom, on 17th June 2019. The program included sonates by J. S. Bach, G. Donicetti, W. A. Mozart and F. Poulenc.
Annual awards to students of Department of Visual arts 2019
At the annual exhibition of the Department of Visual arts students, awards were given to the most successful students. The award committee unanimously decided to award the following prizes:
– Award for best artistic achievement at the Master study program of Painting – Jelena Djukanović
– Award for Best Drawing at the Undergraduate study program of Painting – Ivana Dunjić
– Award for Best Picture at the Undergraduate study program of Painting – Dušan Radovanović
– Small Drawing Award entitled “Katarina Radojlović” at the Undergraduate study program of Painting for I and II year students – Kaja Jovanović
The prizes will be ceremonially awarded to students at the exhibition opening of the final works of Master students of the Department of Visual Arts, on 25th June 2019, at 7 pm in the Fortress Pavilion.
Days of young artists, cultural creativity in Niš Fortress
More than 40 students of all three Departments of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, under the mentorship of spec. Ana Veličković Igić, Associate professor, in cooperation with Slobodan Radojković, PhD, Associate professor, took part in the artistic event Days of young artists, cultural creativity – “Fortress of Art”, the project of the Civil Society Development Center PROTECTA, supported by the City of Niš, the Secretariat of Culture and Information of the City of Niš.

Exhibition of final works of the Department of Visual arts Master students will be opened at the Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery – Pavilion in the Fortress, on Tuesday, 25th June 2019, at 7 pm. The following students are exhibiting their works: Aleksandar Marković, Zorica Ilić, Martina Djordjević, Jelena Djukanović, Dušan Stanojević, Milica Trajković.
Ivana Milošević performed with Niš Chamber Choir in Bulgaria
Ivana Milošević, MAS, Assistant at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, conducted with Niš Chamber choir at XVI International Orthodox Music Festival of the Holy Virgin – Dostojno jest, on 9th June 2019, in the temple of the Birth of the Holy Virgin in Pomorie, Bulgaria. The program included works by Orthodox musicians, Serbian and Bulgarian authors, and Ivana received diplomas for choir management as well as for a decent presentation at the Festival.

Concert of Nevena Miletić and Jovana Jovanović, flute students in the class of Jelena Jakovljević, with the piano accompaniment of Nikola Cvetković, will be held on Tuesday, 18th June 2019, at 7 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a. The entrance to the concert is free.
Stevan Spalević at master course with Steven Kovačević
Doc. Stevan Spalević, Assistant professor, participated in the master course of legendary American pianist Steven Kovačević at Musical Center in Enschede, the Netherlands. The program included Bagatele op. 126 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Participation of Sanja Dević and Jefimija Kocić at International Triennial of Extended Media
Sanja Dević, Assistant Professor and Jefimija Kocić, Assistant at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, participated inthis year’s International Triennial of Extended Media. The works of about 200 artists in Belgrade and several other cities, united under the theme “Reconciliation”, included a number of works of artistic actions, happenings, performances, film projections and video works, lectures and presentations at International Triennial of Expanded Media.
