At the invitation of the international orchestra “German-Nordic Youth Philharmonic Orchestra”, composed of musicians from sixteen world countries, Sofija Stajić, the horn student in the class of Milan Stajić, MA performed at three concerts held in Berlin. The first concert she performed at was the concert of the international wind quintet in Pumpa chamber hall, she performed at the second concert with the orchestra in the same hall, while the third concert was held at the Berlin Philharmonic hall under the conductorship of maestro Andreas Per Kelera.

Nikola Cvetković, MAS, associate at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, published the author’s album “In Retrospect”. The album features 11 pianist compositions, inspired by modern composers, which he recorded in December 2018.

Miloš Vuković, the fourth-year guitar student in the class of Vesna Petković, MA will hold a solo concert on Friday, 25^th January 2019, in the central concert hall “Philippos Nakes Conservatory” in Athens. This concert is a part of I Award which was won at the Veria International Guitar Festival in 2018.

Perica Donkov, MA, full professor, won the Politika Award for Best Exhibition in 2019 for the “Blind Faith” exhibition held at the Legacy House in Belgrade last fall. The jury was composed of art historians Ljiljana Cinkul, Gordana Dobrić, Una Popović, Saša Janjić (president) and editor of the Cultural supplement “Politika” Marija Djordjević, who unanimously decided on the winner.

Exhibition “De/contamination of society” by Miljana Radenković, MA, Assistant professor at the Department of Applied Arts, was opened on Monday, 24^th December 2018, at the University of Kragujevac Gallery.

Slavica Dragosavac, MA, Associate professor at the Department of Applied Arts, participated in the International training program workshop “Learning the graphic heritage. Engraving, the reproducible art”” from 3^rd to 14^th December 2018, at the Graphic Institute in Rome, as part of the program of international cultural exchange of the Republic of Italy.

Kosta Vojinović and Miloš Kostov, students of master studies at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Department of Applied Arts, won the second and third place in the art contest of organization “Jazas” in Novi Sad.

Mr Slobodanka Pajić, MA, Assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, will perform at the New Year’s Concert in the Catholic Church “The Exaltations of the Holy Cross” in Niš, on Thursday, 27^th December 2018, at 7:30 pm. The concert will be performed by soprano Anita Ferlež Eraković and hornist Evica Radevska.

Andrija Mamutović, Assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, performed as a guest at a concert by pianist Aleksandar Serdar at the Kolarac Endowment Hall on Tuesday, 18^th December 2018.

Within the accompanying program of the international manifestation “Belgrade Festival of Mosaics”, held at the House of Legacies, on Wednesday, 9^th January 2019, Slavica Erdeljanović Curk, MA, full professor at the Faculty of Arts, will hold a workshop of zgraffito technique and will present students works of the Department of Visual Arts, created within the course of Wall painting.
