At 27th International Accordion Competition in Alcobaça (Portugal), students in the class of prof. Miljan Bjeletić, MA, achieved remarkable success. Fourth- year student Stefan Dimitrijević won I place in the “Senior” concertist category, while student Veljko Jović won II place in the same category. The competition was realized in two stages. Stefan Dimitrijević was invited by the organizers to hold a solo concert next year in Portugal at the same competition, as well as at the competition in Mons (Belgium).

The success of our best double-bass players at XVI international string competition “String Fest” in Sremska Mitrovica
At XVI international string competition “String Fest” in Sremska Mitrovica – Stefan Ekmedžić, a fourth-year student, won I prize in the highest category with 95 points. Mladen Tomić, a second-year student, won II prize with 92 points. All in the class of Assoc. prof. Ljubinko Lazić, MA.
Master class of cellist Svetlana Bogosavljević at the Faculty of Arts in Niš
Cellist Svetlana Bogosavljević will hold a cello masterclass at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. The masterclass will be held on 24th and 25th June 2024, in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert-Exhibition Hall (Knjaževačka 2a). The official piano accompanist will be pianist Mina Krasić.
Prizes for complementary piano students at XI International Piano Competition Smederevo
Student Marta Mladenović, in the class of prof. Milena Rajković, won I prize (96 points) at XI international piano competition ‘ULJUS’ Smederevo, and student Nikolina Ivković, in the same class, won II prize (93.5 points).
New success of Accordion students on the international stage
After the success in Portugal, at the recently held 18th International Accordion Competition in Murska Sobota (Slovenia), fourth-year student Stefan Dimitrijević in the class of prof. Miljan Bjeletić, MA, won in the oldest category. Also, Veljko Jović won I prize. Stefan Dimitrijević was invited by the organizers to play a solo concert in Murska Sobota the next year.
Jovana Vojinović as laureate of VII category of “V International Competition of Young Musicians” in Zemun
Jovana Vojinović, fourth-year flute student, UAS in the class of DMA Jelena Jakovljević, Assoc. prof, is the laureate of VII category at V international competition of young musicians – Zemun. She performed at the competition with her piano accompanist Nikola Cvetković.
II prize to Kristina Mančić at V international competition of young musicians in Zemun
Kristina Mančić, third-year flute student, UAS in the class of DMA Jelena Jakovljević, won II prize in VII category at V international competition of young musicians in Zemun. Along with her, the entire competition program was performed by piano accompanist Nikola Cvetković.
I prize for chamber music students at XI International Piano Competition ULJUS
Another I prize went to the chamber ensemble “Musique per trois” in the class of prof. Anqa Veličković Igić, consisting of Jovana Blagojević-flute, Ilija Jovanović-cello and Vasilije Glavašević-piano. This time, success was achieved at XI international piano competition ULJUS 2024, where they competed as the youngest ensemble in V category-Chamber Music.
Three different international competitions and three I prizes, that’s the score of this team that just finished the first year of undergraduate studies.
Concert presentation of CD audio edition of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš “Solo songs by Milan Prebanda” – Katarina Simonović Ivanković, soprano and Jelena Deljanin Aleksić, piano
The concert presentation of the CD audio edition of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš “Solo songs by Milan Prebanda” was held on 6th July 2024 in the City Hall and was organized as part of 29th International Choral Festival (NKC). The CD was recorded by the professors of the Faculty of Arts in Niš: Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, full prof. – soprano and MA Jelena Deljanin Aleksić, Assist. prof – the piano.
