Presentation of the joint master study program of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and the Music Academy from Trieste for guitar students – Prof. Zoran Krajišnik

On 6th October at noon in the Faculty of Arts Hall no. 6, Zoran Krajišnik, full professor of guitar at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, will hold a presentation of the joint study program of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and the Music Academy from Trieste (Italy). It is a two-year study program that involves equal periods spent at both institutions. All guitar students are welcome.

Concert performance of the opera of G. Verdi: La Traviata

On the occasion of the Faculty of Arts Day celebration, on Thursday, 12th October 2023 at 7 pm in Concert-Exhibition Space, Knjaževačka 2a, professors, associates and students of the solo singing Department will perform Traviata, by G. Verdi, the most performed and most popular opera in the world. The entrance is free, and we strongly recommend that you reserve your seats. Let’s celebrate 21st year of the Faculty’s working together!

Classical guitar concert within accompanying program of “Small format 2023” project/exhibition

Mihajlo Konatar and Damir Blagojević, Faculty of Arts in Niš UAS graduate students in the classes of assoc. prof. DMA Slobodan Milivojević and full prof. Miloš Janjić, MA, will hold a classical guitar concert on Sunday, 15th October at noon in Sinagoga Gallery, as part of the accompanying project/exhibition program “Small format 2023”, on the occasion of celebrating the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day.

The program includes works by Tarega, Ponce, Merco, Barrios, Piazzola and Bogdanović.

Master course (masterclass) of solo singing by Dr Berislav Jerković, full prof. Academy of Art and Culture Osijek, Croatia

The Faculty of Arts, University of Niš organizes a master class of solo singing by Dr Berislav Jerković, full prof. of the Academy of Arts and Culture from Osijek, Croatia, from 10-12th November 2023

Course topic: “Opera” style and interpretation.

There is a possibility of active and passive participation in the course. Registration is mandatory. The deadline for application, enrollment and payment is 01.11.2023.

At the end of the master course, active participants perform at the FINAL CONCERT in the Faculty of Arts Concert-Exhibition Hall, Knjaževačka 2a, when certificates will be awarded to all master course participants.

The Faculty of Arts in Niš is a partner in the organization of the II International Piano Festival – “Hammer Piano Festival”

The Faculty of Arts in Nis proudly supported and contributed to the organization of I Niš piano festival – the Hammer Piano Festival, which took place from 4th to 8th October 2023, in St. Sava Hall. Our cooperation with the festival was manifested through significant artistic and professional support.

As part of the accompanying festival program, a master class was held by professor Dorian Leljak and professor Ian Jones on 7th October at 2 pm, in the Faculty of Arts small hall, in Kneginje Ljubice st. no. 10. The master class was attended by students from the Department of Piano: Anastasija Sretić in the class of prof. Dragoslav Aćimović, MA, Tijana Miletić in the class of prof. DA Andrija Mamutović, Bratislav Djordjević and Boris Pećanac in the class of professors DMA Stevan Spalević, and the Faculty alumni of MAS Antonina Vukašinović.

DMA Ivan Novaković, full professor of the Piano Department, and dr Nebojša Todorović, retired full professor of the Department of Theoretical Subjects, participated in recording of a documentary about the pianist and composer Sergei Rachmaninov, on the occasion of 150th anniversary of his birth. The program was broadcast during the third evening of the festival’s main program, on 6th October 2023.

The visual identity of the festival was created according to the standards given for the conceptual solution of the last year’s festival, realized by MAS Anita Milić, assoc. prof. of the Department of Applied Arts.

Faculty alumni, MAS Nina Dragićević and MAS Danilo Djokić and Vukašin Momčilović, a student of the Piano Department in the class of prof. DMA Ivan Novaković, contributed to the festival organization as part of the volunteer team.

DMA Stefan Sretić, assistant at the Piano Department, is the festival founder and artistic director.

Concert of the string quartet “Perdendosi” within the upcoming program of the project/exhibition “Small format 2023”

The members of the string quartet “Perdendosi”, Aleksa Spasić, Tijana Filipović, Andjela Dugonjić and Nenad Ilić, the Faculty of Arts in Niš UAS students from the classes of full professor Aleksandar Jakovljević, MA, will hold a concert on Wednesday, 25th October at 7 pm in the Sinagoga Gallery, as part of the upcoming program of the project/exhibition “Small format 2023”, on the occasion of celebrating the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day.

The program includes the works of L.V. Beethoven and A. Borodin.

Concert of guitarist Srdjan Tošić, full professor of the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade, as part of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert season

Srdjan Tošić, full professor of guitar at FMU in Belgrade, will hold an all-night concert in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert Hall on 27th October 2023, at 8 pm. The concert is realized as part of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert Season 2023/2024. The audience will be presented with works by Dowland, Bach, Scarlatti and Coste.

The next day, a meeting will be organized with the Faculty of Arts in Niš guitar students, where the students will have the opportunity to play to prof. Tošić, but also to discuss and ask questions regarding interpretation on the classical guitar.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia passed the Decision on the Faculty of Arts in Niš establishment on this very day in 2002. The Faculty started working on 4th October 2002. Today, in the Faculty Concert-Exhibition Hall, new generation students have been handed out indexes and also wished success in their studies. On this occasion, the Faculty Library has ensured that the new generation of students received personalized Library membership cards and special gifts in the form of valuable publications- books and CDs- published by the Faculty. In the program artistic part, the “Maestrini” Faculty Choir performed under the conductorship of prof. MA Ivana Mirović, solo singing alumni Katarina Mihailović from the class of prof. MA Saša Arsenkov, with piano accompaniment of Anita Stanković, as well as violin student Milica Mitrović in the class of prof. MA Jovan Bogosavljević, with piano accompaniment of Mina Krasić. New students were also welcomed by Marta Kostić, the Student Parliament president.

 

The Ceremony on the occasion of the Faculty of Arts Day will be held on Thursday, 12th October 2023 at noon, in the Faculty Concert-Exhibition Hall at Knjaževačka 2a. All students and employees are invited to attend the Ceremony.

Aleksandra Milutinović, participant of 16th Graphic Workshop “Sofia”- Bogdanci, North Macedonia 2023

Aleksandra Milutinović, a fourth-year student at the Department of Fine Arts, participates in working of 16th Graphics Colony “Sofia” in Bogdanci, North Macedonia. This year’s colony gathers young and talented creators from art faculties and academies from Zagreb, Sarajevo, Novi Sad, Niš and Sofia. In the period from August 16 to 25, they will realize their works in different graphic techniques.

The participants mentor at this year’s gathering is Mirjana Vodopija, full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb.
