The Days of the clarinet “Clarinetissimo” was organized at Faculty of Arts in Niš from 22nd to 25th April 2017. Intensive master class for clarinet, with Yuan Gao, professor at Longy School of Music in Boston, USA, and Miloš Mijatović, associate professor at Faculty of Arts in Niš, was held on 22nd and 24th April 2017. “Royal Global presentation”, an interactive presentation and promotion of the latest models of clarinets and related equipment, was held on Tuesday 25th April 2017. The concert at which Yuan Gao – clarinet, Miloš Mijatović – clarinet, Srdjan Djordjević – piano and master class participants performed was also held at Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, on Tuesday 25th April 2017.

The intensive master class for flute with Marija Djurdjević Ilić, associate professor of the Music Academy in Cetinje, as well as the first flute of Montenegrin Symphony orchestra, was organized at Faculty of Arts in Niš from 19th – 21st April, 2017. Lecture “Orchestral performance” by Marko Radonić at Faculty of Arts
Lecture on the preparation for audition to play in the orchestra, with the theme Orchestral performance, presented by Marko Radonić, concertmaster of Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, was held at Faculty of Arts in Niš, on Wednesday 19th April 2017, in hall no 6.

One-day master class for cello was organized by Faculty of Arts, University of Niš on Saturday, 11th March 2017, in hall no 6. The master class was held by Dilbag Tokay, professor of State Conservatory Art University “Mimar Sinan” in Istanbul (Turkey).

The exhibition of Faculty of Arts in Niš teachers and associates “Works on Paper” was officially opened by prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA, Faculty of Arts in Niš vice-dean for quality and international relations, on Tuesday, 21st March 2017, starting at 5pm at gallery “Rafael Mihailov” in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria.
Promotion of textbook “Sociology of Music” by Dimitrije Bužarovski, PhD
Promotion of the textbook “Sociology of Music” by Dimitrije Bužarovski, honorary PhD of the University of Niš, was held on Friday 10th March 2017, starting at 7 pm at Faculty of Arts in Niš Hall 6. Besides authors, reviewers Dragan Zunić, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš and Trena Jordanoska, PhD, musicologist and Associate professor at the Faculty of Music Art in Skopje, as well as Danijela Zdravić Mihailovic, Head of Faculty of Arts Publishing Centre spoke at the promotion of another significant Faculty of Arts in Niš publication. Also, pianist Ema Potevska Popivoda performed the composition of Dimitrije Bužarovski – Nights (Nocturnes) op. 49 and op. 52 at the promotion.
The exhibition of student works – “Playing”
The exhibition of student works “Playing” officially opened Faculty of Arts in Niš Exhibition season, on Monday 6th March 2017, starting at 7:30 pm in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjaževačka 2a. Papers and student films were produced at four-day animation workshop “Playing” by Marija Vulić. It is the first animated film workshop to be held at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. It was derived from the need to supplement classes on the subject Graphic Communications with another activity that would enable students with an invaluable experience, acquired knowledge and skills in this area by competent presenter, Marija Vulić. With new expression in digital medium, animator Marija Vulić and 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students and the Department of Applied Arts master students, are starting playing with their creative horizons. By exhibiting storyboards, students have shown a clear difference in the way of thinking and expression in each of them, while in the process of creating an animated film they are acting as a team that creates with the aim of promoting the film animation.
