Exhibition “Graphics and Drawing”

The continuous cooperation of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Arts in Niš and course teachers is being celebrated again this year with the joint student exhibition “Graphics and Drawing”. The exhibition points to special approaches to graphics and drawing, to the students attitude towards the graphic medium, revealing their reflections and different ways of realizing graphics and drawings . A selection of works that presents the real state of current artistic student production is presented. It points to the enthusiasm of young creators, their dynamism, richness of ideas and the essential conditioning of graphics and drawings in the displayed works.

CONCERT OF OPERA ARIAS AND DUETS

The students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Solo Singing Department in the class of Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, full prof.

Piano accompanist: Mina Ćurčić

The program includes the works of famous opera composers:

Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Gounod, Dvořák, Cilea, Offenbach, Delibes, Binički and others.

The following ladies and gentlemen will perform at the concert:

Sofija Lazić- soprano, Andjela Nedeljković- soprano, Luka Marković- tenor, Nikola Stamenković- tenor, Hadži Lazar Lazarević – baritone, Andjela Antic – soprano, Jovana Anić – soprano.

Concert guest: Milana Andrašević – soprano.

Great success of accordion students at Belgrade Accordion Festival

At Belgrade Accordion Festival held on 7th April in Belgrade, students in the class of prof. Nikola Peković won three I prizes in the category without age limit (student category).

I prize and laureate- Marija Ratkov, fourth-year student of UAS (97.66 points)

I prize- Nemanja Čamagić, third-year student of UAS (96.66 points)

ON THE INTERPRETATION OF BACH’S MUSIC FOR KEYBOARD INSTRUMENTS

I prize to string quartet “Perdendosi” at V International Competition “Olivera Djurdjević” in Belgrade

The string quartet “Perdendosi”, consisting of the Faculty of Arts in Niš student, Aleksa Spasić, violin, Tijana Filipović, violin, Andjela Dugonjić, viola and Nenad Ilić, double bass, in the class of Aleksandar Jakovljević, MA, full prof. won I prize at V International Competition “Olivera Djurdjević” in Belgrade. The competition was held under the auspices of the music school “Vladimir Djordjević” in Belgrade and the Flutists Association of Serbia “Miodrag Azanjac”.

III and IV year Music Theory students on an “Excursion to Bejing Opera”

Students of III and IV year of Music Theory study program at the Faculty of Arts in Niš Department of Musical Art visited the International Bejing Opera Poster Biennial. This specific type of opera is known as a combination of music (written for a vocal-instrumental ensemble), mime, dance and martial arts, and is imbued with folklore elements of the Chinese area and numerous symbols.

The students were led to the exhibition, which was staged in the Gallery of Contemporary Fine Art Ni[, in Officers’ Home of Ni[. Ana Kazimić, assistant professor of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, as part of tutorials within the course Vocal Literature on 18th and 19th March. Previously, during classes, students were introduced to the characteristics of this type of opera with “illustrations” of the matter through audio- visual examples.
