The annual exhibition of student works of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Departments of Applied and Visual Arts was opened in the premises of the Art School, Elementary School “Vožd Karadjordje”, Elementary School “Njegoš” and the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert – Exhibition Room, on Friday, 10th June 2022.
Premiere of the opera “Carmen” by J. Bizet (joint project of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Niš Symphony Orchestra and the National Theater Niš) will be on Tuesday, 14th June 2022 (and the second premiere on 17th June 2022) at 8 pm at the National Theater in Niš. The following professors of the Faculty of Arts in Niš will perform – soloists: Aleksandra Ristić, MA, Saša Arsenkov, MA and Katarina Simonović-Ivanković, MA, Marko Milisavljević, teaching associate, Ana Kazimić, assistant professor, Nikola Mikić, the Faculty of Arts in Niš alumni, the Faculty of Fine Arts in Niš students: Lazar Lazarević, Jelena Jovanović, Nena Djurić, Nikola Stamenković, Miona Vukadinović, Ema Ćoćić, Milica Rakić, Damjan Mišić and Emil Verzio, as well as the Faculty of Arts in Niš choir Maestrini (conductor Ivana Mirović, MA). Piano students in the class of Assoc. prof. DA Stevan Spalević won second prizes at XIX International Competition Donne in Musica 2022, Kragujevac / Belgrade:
Andjela Spasić, first-year student – II prize (94 points) in category VII
Katarina Bošković, third-year student – II prize (92.8 points) in category VIII
Svetlana Stojanović, master student – II prize (90, 8 points) in category IX
Sara Stojanović and Marta Pejčić, fourth-year students of the Department of Applied Arts, were shortlisted for the 17th competition for the latest production of theater posters and graphic design in the Republic of Serbia. The selected posters are in the category of the conceptual design of theater posters, on the theme of Merlinka Festival 13. The exhibition is open on 26th May and lasts until 3rd June during 67th Sterija Pozorje in Novi Sad.

Within 4th Meeting of guitar students of music academies and faculties in the region, which were held in Novi Sad from 2nd to 5th June 2022, organized by the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, the Faculty of Arts in Niš was represented by Damjan Stanković (I year of UAS) in the class of Assoc. prof. MA Miloš Janjić and Aleksandra Avramović (IV year of UAS) in the class of Assist. prof. DA Slobodan Milivojević. Our students successfully presented themselves to the audience with semi-recitals on 3rd June in the Museum of Vojvodina Hall, sharing the evening program with the students of the “Franz List” Academy from Budapest. In addition to our faculty, this year’s Meeting of Guitar Students were attended by FMA – Belgrade, Academy of Arts – Novi Sad, Academy “Franz List” from Budapest, Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka and Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo.
At IX International Online Piano Competition in Smederevo ULJUS 2022 in category V – Chamber Music, students in the class of prof. Ana Veličković-Igić, the flute duo “Due Fiori”, consisting of Valentina Stanojević and Andjela Popović, won I / 1 prize, sharing the same number of points with the trio from Austria.
At 3rd international competition of young musicians in Zemun, Jovana Vojinović in the class of Assoc. prof. DA Jelena Jakovljević, won II prize in category VI (91 points). Congratulations!
At 3rd international competition of young musicians in Zemun, Jovana J. Jovanović, a flute student in the class of Assoc. prof. DA Jelena Jakovljević, won I / 1 prize and was declared the Laureate of category VII. Congratulations!
As part of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert season, a concert of the piano duo D-Art, consisting of Dragana Djordjević, MA, full professor and spec. Bojan Mladenović, associate will be held on Tuesday, 31st May 2022. The program will include works by Brahms, Schubert, Poulanc and Jenader. The concert will be held in the Faculty of Arts Concert-Exhibition Space, at 7 pm. The concert is organized by the Branch of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Niš and the Faculty of Arts in Niš.
