The publishing and literary scene of Niš is presented at this year’s 63rd International Book Fair in Belgrade as a city-guest. The city of Niš will have a special exhibition stand in Hall 4, throughout the Fair (21-28.10.2018). At the City of Niš stand, the Faculty of Arts presents its editions within the presentation of the University of Niš publishing.
Danijela Zdravić Mihailović, PhD, associate professor and Marko Milenković, PhD, professional instructor at the Faculty of Arts, took part in the 11th International Symposium “Music in Society”, which was held from 25th to 27th October 2018 in East Sarajevo, organized by the Musicology Society of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Academy of Music in East Sarajevo.
By acquiring the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020, the University of Niš received another outstanding recognition for its quality work in the field of internationalization.
Ivana Milošević, an assistant at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, conducted a full-length concert of spiritual music with the Niš chamber choir in the church of St. Petka in Niš on the occasion of the upcoming church of the same name.
The joint exhibition of Slobodan Radojković, PhD, associate professor, and students from the Fine Arts Department and the Applied Arts Department of the Faculty of Arts in Niš will be opened on Friday, 26th October 2018 in the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad gallery hall.
Nadica Kostić and Mihailo Golubović, third-year students and Miloš Kostov, a fourth-year student of the Department of Applied Arts, under the mentorship of Slavica Dragosavac, associate professor and Jovana Nikolić, an assistant at the Faculty of Arts, were included in the narrow selection of “Segunda Llamada”, the World Poster Contest in Mexico, on the theme of environmental protection “Climate change. Consciousness, Action.”
Andrea Saracino, a percussionist from Italy, will hold a solo concert on Wednesday, 10th November 2018, at 7 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a.
As part of the continuation of a long-standing cooperation between the New Bulgarian University in Bulgaria and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš, the Council of the Department “Musica“ approved and selected Danijela Ilić, PhD, assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, as a member of the editorial board of the International Scientific Journal “Young Scientific Forum for Music and Dance” Within the international magazine team and the hidden reviewer of some published and future articles and reports in the journal.
The concert of the Academic Choir of the State Cultural Institute of Kemerovo and the Academic Female Choir of the Student Cultural Center will be held on Thursday, 11th October 2018, at 8 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom. The program includes works by P. Chesnokov, S. Mokranjac, G. Puccini, L. Prima, J. Levit, N. Page, J. Lennon, F. Mercury…
Within the academic exchange, teachers and students of the State Institute of Culture of Kemerovo and the University of Niš will hold master classes in the Academic Choir Singing, Solo Singing, Acting, Choral Conducting, Accordion and Piano, organized by the Student Cultural Center, Faculty of Arts and the University of Niš. The exchange was supported by the Municipality of Mediana, the Tourist Organization of Niš and the Student Center Niš. The closing concert will take place on Thursday, 11th October 2018, at 8 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom.
