Based on the final categorization, the journals – Artefact, the journal of the Faculty of Arts in Niš and the scientific journal Facta Universitatis, Series: Visual Arts and Music, the journal ofthe University of Niš, from the „Facta Universitatis” series, are newspapers of national significance, which are categorized as home novel scientific journal (M54).

The concert of contemporary music titled “The Sound of the New Age”, at which the compositions composed in the 21^st century will be premiered, will be held on Tuesday, 6^th November 2018, at 8 pm in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom.

Suzana Kostić, PhD full professor and the dean of the Faculty of Arts, participates as a member of the Artistic Committee and president of the jury at 36^th International Choir Festival in Karditsa, Greece. The jury also includes distinguished composers and conductors Giorgos Kouroupos, Janis Drositis, Kostas Evangelatos, as well as prof. emeritus and president of the National Opera Dimitris Minakakis. The founder, organizer and president of the Festival is the conductor and professor Nikos Eftimiadis, MA, the only foreign artist who is the winner of the Golden Badge of the International Choral Festival in Niš.

Miloš Vuković, a guitar student in the class of Vesna Petković is the laureate of the International Guitar United Fest competition in East Sarajevo, in the VI two-stage category without age restrictions. The competition was held on 28^th October 2018, and he won the guitar by Greek architect Seintoulas Giannis. Congratulations!

The publishing and literary scene of Niš is presented at this year’s 63^rd International Book Fair in Belgrade as a city-guest. The city of Niš will have a special exhibition stand in Hall 4, throughout the Fair (21-28.10.2018). At the City of Niš stand, the Faculty of Arts presents its editions within the presentation of the University of Niš publishing.

Danijela Zdravić Mihailović, PhD, associate professor and Marko Milenković, PhD, professional instructor at the Faculty of Arts, took part in the 11^th International Symposium “Music in Society”, which was held from 25^th to 27^th October 2018 in East Sarajevo, organized by the Musicology Society of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Academy of Music in East Sarajevo.

By acquiring the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020, the University of Niš received another outstanding recognition for its quality work in the field of internationalization.

Ivana Milošević, an assistant at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, conducted a full-length concert of spiritual music with the Niš chamber choir in the church of St. Petka in Niš on the occasion of the upcoming church of the same name.

The joint exhibition of Slobodan Radojković, PhD, associate professor, and students from the Fine Arts Department and the Applied Arts Department of the Faculty of Arts in Niš will be opened on Friday, 26^th October 2018 in the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad gallery hall.

Nadica Kostić and Mihailo Golubović, third-year students and Miloš Kostov, a fourth-year student of the Department of Applied Arts, under the mentorship of Slavica Dragosavac, associate professor and Jovana Nikolić, an assistant at the Faculty of Arts, were included in the narrow selection of “Segunda Llamada”, the World Poster Contest in Mexico, on the theme of environmental protection “Climate change. Consciousness, Action.”
