The solo exhibition of paintings and drawings by Jefimija Kocić, an assistant at the Department of Applied Arts, was opened on 4th October 2018 at 7 pm in the Contemporary Art Gallery in Kučevo. The exhibition will last until 18th October 2018.
Editions of the SASA Musicology Institute on a gift to the Faculty of Arts
On behalf of the Musicology Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Ivana Medić, PhD, musicologist and scientific associate of the Institute, has donated the latest publications of the Institute to the Faculty of Arts in Niš Library. On behalf of the Faculty of Arts, a gift was received by Danijela Stojanović, PhD, vice-dean for artistic and scientific work.
Anita Milić and Miljana Radenković at international exhibition “MiniARTura” in Macedonia
Anita Milić, Assistant Professor and Miljana Radenković, PhD, Assistant at the Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Arts in Niš, take part in the international exhibition “MiniARTura” in Macedonia. The exhibition was opened on 4th October 2018 at NLB Gallery in Skopje. The miniatures were exhibited by artists from Macedonia, Serbia, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia.
Professors of the Faculty of Arts in Italy
Slobodan Radojković, PhD, associate professor, Bojan Zivić, MA, full professor, prof. Danijela Dimitrijević, the Faculty of Arts in Niš alumni are participants of the project “International influence in contemporary graphics”, which is realized due to the cooperation between Niš and Italian graphic artists. Within the project, the trio Anima consisting of flutist Ana Veličković Igić, associate professor, soprano Aleksandra Ristić, full professor and pianist Ingrid Janković, associate at the Faculty of Arts in Niš presented itself by performing Serbian composers to the Italian audience, in the city of Vercelli near Milan.
Lectures and master classes for flute and music production at the Faculty of Arts in Nis
The Faculty of Arts in Niš, within the project “Improving the performance of young flutists”, organizes open lectures as well as a two-day master course for flute and a one-day master course for musical production, after which the participants will take part in studio recording of the discography edition and concert performance. Information on registration fee for participation in master classes can be found in the continuation of the publication and the number of participants is limited. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
Master course for flute and lecture by flutist Michel Bellavance
The two-day master course for flute and the lecture “Overcoming the stage freight in public oerformance and studio recording with a special focus on support and vibrato” will be held by flutist Michel Bellavance, professor of flute for advanced courses at the Geneva Conservatory (HEM Switzerland) on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th October, 2018.
Master course of music production and lecture prof. Dejan Pejović
One-day master course for music production and lecture “Music production of flute – piano” by professor Dejan Pejović, associate professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, will be held on Monday, 29th October 2018, in which participants will have the opportunity to learn about the entire process of audio production of flute and piano. After that, the course participants will participate in the studio recording of the discography edition.
The performance of Stevan Spalević at the closing of V International Music Festival Convivium Musicum
Stevan Spalević, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts, performed at the closing of V International Festival of Choral Music “Convivium Musicum”, which was held in the period from 25th to 28th September 2018 in Kragujevac. In the Puppet Theater concert hall, he performed within the duo by Stevan Nemanja and the Piano Ensemble 5+, composed by pianists Jovana Radovanović, Julija Bal, Jelena Bajić and Nemanja Egerić together with percussionists Goran Biro and Luka Zlatanović and the choir “Small Liceum”. The program included pieces by: I. Stravinsky, M. Ravell, A. Lavinjak and Pink Floyd.

Exhibition of Jefimija Kocić’s Doctoral Art Project
The exhibition of Doctoral Art Project “Villa Rosa – Illustrated Interactive Book” by Jefimija Kocić, an assistant at the Department of Applied Arts, was opened on Friday, 28th September at 1 pm in the Graphic Design Gallery (Kosančićev venac 29, Belgrade). The exhibition was opened by the mentor prof. Rastko Ćirić.
Participation of Faculty of Arts in Niš in the manifestation „Night of the Researchers“
The Faculty of Arts in Niš will be presented for the first time this year at the Night of the Researchers, which will be held on 28th September 2018, at 5 pm in Niš Fortress. The participants of the project are Vesna Gagić, Head of the Faculty of Arts Library, as well as students from the Department of Applied Arts: Iva Prvulović, Mihailo Golubović, Anastasija Kocić and Aleksa Milošević, under the mentorship of Sanja Dević, Assisstant professor and Jefimija Kocić, Assistant.
