Zoran Stanisavljević, MA, Associate Professor at Faculty of Arts in Niš, as the conductor of the Student Cultural Center Academic Choir of the University of Niš, will hold a full-length concert on Thursday, 17th May 2018 in the church of St. Cyril and Methodius in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Apart from other pieces, the Choir will also perform compositions by Dragan Tomić, MA, Associate professor at Faculty of Arts in Niš.

After the successful presentation of the Faculty of Arts at the jubilee X festival “Science is not scary”, the Department of Applied Arts will repeat the promotion “Interactive Guide to Visual Systems in the Space”, and at this year’s Mathematics Festival “Mathematical Computing”, which will be held on 12th May 2018, in the Regional Center Niš, from 10 am to 4 pm. Participants of the project are the following students from the Department of Applied Arts: Iva Prvulović, Mihailo Golubović, Anastasija Kocić, Ivana Cvetković, Jovana Živković, Aleksa Milošević, Dejan Ristić and Ana Branković. Prof. Stefan Altakov, PhD, Head of the Visual Arts Department and prof. Laura Dimitrova, PhD, professor of decorative arts and art theory at the Visual Arts Department of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, will open an exhibition of works on Monday, 14th May 2018, at 7 pm in Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a steet.
In the framework of international cooperation with the Visual Arts Department of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, in the period 14th – 25th May 2018, Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš is hosting prof. Stefan Altakov, PhD and prof. Laura Dimitrova, PhD, who will hold a presentation of art achievements, as well as deliver a lecture on contemporary art practice in Bulgaria to the Faculty teachers and students.

Sofija Stajić, a horn student in the class of Milan Stajić, MA, Assistant professor, has won I prize in V category at International competition “Petar Konjović”, held on 6th May 2018 in Belgrade. According to the jury consisting of: prof. Milan Radić – horn, prof. Mladen Djordjević – trumpet, prof. Miloš Djordjević – horn, prof. Marko Marković – trumpet, the performance was very successful and with a serious and demanding program. Congratulations!
