On Monday, 5^th June 2023, the exhibition “Experience Italy through art” was opened in “Štab” Gallery organized by the Birra Moretti brand as part of the project to support young artists in our country, which is being realized for the second year in a row. The exhibition was also attended by prof. DA Slavica Dragosavac as the Faculty of Arts in Niš representative.

The setting of the exhibition is a kind of testimony of the trip to Florence that the exhibition authors had at the beginning of the year, organized by the Birra Moretti brand.

The author of the best work presented at the exhibition will receive an exclusive opportunity to perfect his education in Italy. The best work will be chosen by an expert jury, but also by the general public through voting on the official website of Birra Moretti. Let’s vote for the best work from 29^th May until 2^nd July, while the exhibition in Belgrade will last until 11^th June. This will be followed by exhibitions in Niš from 20^th – 25^th June and Novi Sad from 13^th – 18^th June.

The students of our faculty, Marta Pejčić, Jovana Milojević and Jana Novaković, as well as students of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade and the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, who are participating in the competition for the best work of art, had the opportunity to find their inspiration in a four-day stay at the beginning of this year in Florence. The trip was completed by the acquaintance with the renowned artist Silvia Logi, from whom they had the opportunity to learn at an art workshop.

The Embassy of Italy in Belgrade joined the initiative of the Birra Moretti brand, whose representative, the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, Roberto Cincotta, will be a member of the specially selected jury. David Laufer, the owner and artistic director of the Laufer Art gallery, also joined in the selection of this exhibition winners.

At X International Piano Online Competition ULJUS 2023, students in the class of prof. Ana Veličković-Igić, won two first prizes.

The V category consisted of ensembles of music academies students from Spain, Poland, Slovenia and Serbia.

The trio “Spirito”, consisting of Andjelija Djak – flute, Dušan Vinkić – flute and Aleksa Savić – piano, won 98.33 points and as the youngest group in the category was especially praised by the jury members.

The trio “JEN” composed of Jovana Vojinović – flute, Nikola Gligorijević – violin and Ema Pučić – piano, won 96 points.

The guitar trio K2O will hold a concert in the University of Niš Hall on Monday, 12^th June 2023 at 7 pm. Program: classical music, Čolić, EKV, traditional. The entrance is free.

The Orchestra and soloists of the Faculty of Arts in Nis with the conductor Ivan Djačić will hold a concert on Wednesday, 14^th June at 7 pm, in the Faculty Concert-Exhibition Hall, Knjaževačka 2a street.

The opera “Na uranku” by Stanislav Binički, based on the libretto by Branislav Nušić, performed by the Faculty of Arts soloists and vocal ensemble will have its premiere the National Theater stage, on Wednesday, 7^th June 2023, at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office of National Theater. The stage performance of the opera “Na uranku” is the doctoral artistic project of young director Jovana Solunović-Mitrović, a student of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade, under the mentorship of prof. Božidar Djurović and in the co-mentorship of PhD Nataša Nagorni Petrov. Jovana is the Faculty of Arts in Niš alumni. For this occasion, the music was processed and converted into original sound by Marko Pejčić, our Faculty alumni, and the title roles are played by Katarina Miḫailović, soprano, Damjan Mišić, tenor, Marko Milisavljević, baritone and prof. MA Aleksandra Ristić, mezzo-soprano, with the participation of the Faculty vocal ensemble consisting of students and alumni, directed by prof. Ivana Mirović, MA. The project is a co-production of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts and National Theater in Niš.

On Wednesday, 31^st May at 5 pm, the exhibition “Design Rocks” of Assoc. prof. Sanja Dević, Assoc. prof. Anita Milić and Assistant professor Biljana Stanković will be opened in Golubac Modern Art Gallery.

The exhibition will last until 13^th June 2023.

At XIII International Accordion Competition Ḫarmonika fest in Tivat (Montenegro), Veljko Milojković, an accordion master degree student in the class of prof. Miljan Bjeletić, MA, won within the student category. The contestants were evaluated by jury consisting of Dariusz Bažak (Przemyśl, Poland), Vasili Vasiliev (Moscow, Russia), Gintaras Mameniškis (Kaunas, Lithuania), Radomir Tomić (Kragujevac), Vojin Vasović (Kragujevac), Zoran Božanić (Belgrade), Miljan Bjeletić (Niš).

On 23^rd May 2023, in the Faculty of Arts in Niš Concert-Exhibition Hall of, as part of the Faculty of Arts Concert season 2023. The program included works by J. Ḫaydn, V. A. Mozart, L. V. Beethoven, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, A. Scriabin, S. Rachmaninov and Andjela Spasić. The concert guest was Faculty of Arts cello student Andrija Kurtić (II year).

Damjan Stanković, a guitar student in the class of prof. MA Miloš Janjić is the laureate of the international competition “Naissus Guitar Festival” on 18^th -20^th May 2023 in student categories. As a prize, he won a concert in Kystendil, Bulgaria at International Guitar Festival “Acad. Marin Goleminov” in 2024.
