Master students Aleksandra Stojanović and Natalija Stamenković presented the Faculty of Arts in Niš at Collective Exhibition of Students in Belgrade

Association “Kornjača” as part of its project, with the support of newly graduated students, organizes the fifth in a row “Annual exhibition of art students”.

In the Kornjača gallery in Belgrade, on Friday, 1st September 2023, at 7 pm, the “Collective exhibition of students: Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade and Faculty of Arts in Niš” was opened.

The representatives of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, master students Aleksandra Stojanović and Natalija Stamenković, presented respectively each of their works at this event.

The exhibition is open to all visitors until 18th September.

“Small format” 2023 – Exhibition of student works

As part of the celebration of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day, the Department of Fine Arts, together with the Faculty, realizes the exhibition of student works “Small format” with the aim of establishing continuous exhibition practice and cooperation with Faculties/Academies of Arts, cultural institutions, colleagues and students.

The exhibition of student works “Small format” emphasizes the importance of drawing technique and works that go out with line into the field of expanded possibilities. It includes both classical drawing techniques, as well as exploratory experimental works of small format that expand the expressive possibilities of drawings on paper, objects, installations, animations, video works…

Five faculties responded to the invitation to participate in this event: the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, the Faculty of Applied Arts Belgrade, the Faculty of Fine Arts Belgrade, the Philology and Arts Faculty of the University of Kragujevac and the host Faculty of Arts in Niš.

The exhibition includes over 160 student exhibitors and about forty mentor professors. Over 250 works on paper, a dozen video works/animations and about 20 objects/sculptures will be shown to the Niš audience.

The exhibition is shown in two locations, in two exhibition spaces.

The exhibition opening of the in the National Museum of Niš, in the Sinagoga Gallery, Davidova 2 st, is on Tuesday, 3rd October at 5 pm, with a musical performance by Aleksa Spasić, a fourth-year student of undergraduate academic studies, mentor. prof. Jovan Bogosavljević, MA, who will perform Paganini: Caprice no 17.

The exhibition opening at NKC Gallery, Bul. Dr. Zorana Djindjić, 37, is also on Tuesday, 3rd October at 7 pm, with a musical performance by Damir Blagojević, master student, mentor: full prof. Miloš Janjić, who will perform: Dušan Bogdanović, Six Balkan miniatures.

As part of the “Small Format 2023” project/exhibition, the following programs will be implemented in the Synagogue Gallery:

– 11th October 2023, lecture: DA Dragana Stevanović, Academy of Arts in Novi Sad,

– “Unseen drawing” workshop: the workshop author: PhD Andjela Mujčić, Faculty of Arts Zvečan – Kosovska Mitrovica in cooperation with: DA Nikola Marković, Faculty of Arts, Niš.

– concerts by students of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Department of Musical Arts under the mentorship of regular professors Jovan Bogosavljević, Miloš Janjić and Aleksandar Jakovljević:

      15th October at noon, Mihajlo Konatar-guitar and Damir Blagojević-guitar, in the class of prof. Miloš Janjić.

      On 25th October, Aleksa Spasić, violin I, Tijana Filipović, violin II, Andjela Dugonjić, viola and Nenad Ilić, double bass, mentor: Aleksandar Jakovljević.

The exhibition for all visitors, in National Museum of Niš, Synagogue Gallery, is open until 29th October, and in NKC Gallery it is open until 10th October.

Prof. DA Dragana Stevanović, Assoc. prof. at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and a second-year master student at AUNS Lazar Nikolić will hold a lecture and presentation of his artwork on Wednesday, 11th October at 2 pm, in the Synagogue Gallery, as part of the accompanying “Small Format 2023” project/exhibition program. and on the occasion of celebrating the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day.

“Works on Paper II” exhibition of teachers and associates of the Faculty of Arts in the gallery “Alma Mater”, Sofia University “St. Kliment of Ohrid” in Bulgaria

The exhibition “Works on paper II” of the Faculty of Arts in Niš teachers and associates represents the continuation of the long-standing successful cooperation between the University of Niš and Sofia University “St. Kliment of Ohrid”. The authors exhibited works from the current creative opus, from the fields of fine arts, applied arts and design, conceptually connected by paper as the basis on which they were created.

The exhibition is part of the program for the celebration of 135th anniversary of Sofia University, and was opened in ALMA MATER gallery in Sofia on 5th October 2023.

The introductory speech at the exhibition opening was given by prof. PhD Stefan Altakov and Prof. PhD Laura Dimitrova Altakova from the Pedagogical and Art Faculty of Sofia University, Department of Visual Arts. Prof. Katarina Djordjević, MA, vice dean for quality and international cooperation and assoc. prof. Miron Mutaović, MA also addressed the audience.

On behalf of the Embassy of Serbia in Bulgaria, the exhibition opening was attended by the first adviser Mr. Miodrag Sekulić and his wife.

The public will be able to view the exhibited works until 15th October 2023.

The work of the Faculty of Arts in Niš student was awarded at international exhibition Small Format Mosaic 18

The international exhibition “Small Format Mosaic” was opened in the Small Gallery of ULUPUDS, at Uzun Mirkova st. no 12 in Belgrade, on 10th October 2023 at 7 pm.

The Small Format Mosaic is an international exhibition that significantly influences the development of this artistic technique and increases the visibility of mosaics and the actualization of contemporary mosaic practices. It also provides insight

into the latest ideas and trends in the field of mosaics. The project is realized as an annual exhibition that gives a strong

encouragement to establish a strong domestic mosaic art scene, as well as its presentation and positioning in European frameworks through the improvement of international cooperation. The exhibition discovers new, especially young, talented authors and promotes their work. This year, forty authors from Montenegro, North Macedonia/Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland and Serbia are exhibiting.

Students of the undergraduate academic studies of Painting at the Faculty of Arts from Niš also participate in the exhibition: Ljubica Nedeljković with the mosaic “Landscape”, Saša Andjelković with the mosaic “Armadilo” and Natalija Ilić – winner of the award “Borislav Boro Nježić” for the most successful student work for the mosaic “Landscape”.

The exhibition will be open until 21st November 2023.

Exhibition of paintings and graphics with augmented reality from the series “Dante’s Way” and “Solar Futurism” by prof. PhD Svetoslav Kosev, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” from Bulgaria, Assoc. prof. PhD Atanas Markov and PhD Simeon Želev, lecturer is part of the program of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day and was opened in the presence of numerous dignitaries and distinguished guests from the country and abroad on 12th October 2023 in the Faculty Concert-Exhibition Hall.

The author’s team exhibits 10 paintings and 12 lithographs whose visual identity is built by prof. PhD Svetoslav Kosev, the calligraphic text is created by Simeon Želev, and the digital entry of augmented reality is created by Assoc. PhD Atanas Markov.

The audience will be able to view the exhibition until 30th October 2023, and guided tours through the exhibition have been organized.

“Unseen drawing” workshop for the Faculty of Arts in Niš students

On Wednesday, 18th October 2023, at 2 pm, a workshop titled “Unseen Drawing” will be held for the Faculty of Arts in Niš students in the Synagogue Gallery.

The workshop author is prof. DA Andjela Mujčić, assist. prof. at the Faculty of Arts in Zvečan in Kosovska Mitrovica in cooperation with prof. Nikola Marković, assoc. prof. will lead a workshop at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.

The “Unseen drawing” is realized as part of the accompanying program of the project/exhibition “Small format 2023”, and on the occasion of celebrating the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day.

Awards to Department of Applied Arts students at the competition “Orientation system – spatial marking of objects and conceptual solutions of art installations” of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Niš

At the completed award competition “Orientation system – spatial marking of the object and conceptual solutions of art installations” of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Niš, realized in cooperation with the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, the winning teams from the Department of Applied Arts were announced.

Two equal first prizes were awarded to the following teams:

     Jovana Milojević FA, Minja Djordjević FA and Mladen Milačić FCE, for the conceptual solution of the spatial marking of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Niš, with the elaboration of the movement plan.

     Ana Milenković FA, Sara Stojanović FA, Petar Brkić FCE and Miloš Breznik FCE for conceptual solution of the sculpture from existing waste material.

The second prize was awarded to the team composed of Danica Ćirić, FA, Jana Novaković, FA, Milena Kostić, FCE for the conceptual solution of a sculpture made from existing waste material.

Special recognition for posters of Marta Pejčić and Danica Stojanović at international competition in the Republic of Korea

The posters of Marta Pejčić,  teaching assistant and Danica Stojanović, fourth-year student of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, were among the selection of commended works at the international typography poster competition “2023 OITA Awards”, which was organized in the Republic of Korea.

The exhibition of all awarded and commended works is organized in two formats – the first is an exhibition realized in the period from 4th to 9th October 2023, in the premises of the “Ulsan Center for Culture and Art” in the Republic of Korea, and the second is an online exhibition that will be permanently visible at the web address: https://www.oesoltypo.org/

All awarded and praised works will be found in the book, which will be published in printed and digital format.
